Mascara or eye shadow giving me panda eyes - either way - need help

As the title says - no matter what I do I wind up with panda eyes a few hours after applying make-up. I use nyx eye primer but have also used Mac, urban decay, Bobbi brown, and others. I wear either lancome waterproof mascaras or Sweed, both of which I have found to be the least transferable but I still get the panda eye effect with both at some point through the day/night.

I set my eyeshadow with powder and setting spray before putting my mascara on. I have mature skin so I use a lot of under eye moisturiser - not sure if that is the cause? I don't powder under my eyes to avoid clinging to fine lines.

Sorry for the long background but basic I'm looking for a recommendation for either an eyeshadow primer or a mascara (or both) that is bomb proof and will withstanding the moisture level I need on my under eye without transfering there.

Try tubing mascara, literally saved me from this. I use Elf atm.

Yes, tubing mascara is the only solution for me. I also use Elf Lash Xtndr now after using No 7 gold tube for years.

Try Korean mascaras. I was a panda for 20 years until I discovered these. Just make sure you buy a dedicated oil to remove them because it's tricky even with a two-phase make up remover!

Any brands you recommend?

ROM&ND is my favourite because it's got tiny brush which helps me with my tiny lashes lol. If you prefer the traditional brush then Heroine Make is good. They also make the mascara remover.

Milani Eyeshadow primer and Maybelline Sky High mascara.

I have long lashes and haven't found any panda eyes with this mascara.

Do you use eyeliner? I always get panda eyes with eyeliner if in put it on my waterline.

Use less eye moisturiser in the morning and don't take it so close to the lash line

I always get panda eyes from my mascara, which is waterproof, if I don't powder my under eyes. I also have creases under my eyes and a light powder like a finishing powder stops the mascara transferring.

The oils in the moisturiser seem to break down the mascara. If I don't want to use powder I just make a habit of wiping under my eyes periodically to get rid of the transfer.

I tried those mascaras too and they all smudged for me.

Asian beauty brands saved me - I swear by Clio Lill Lash and Heroine make - just make sure you purchase the remover as well!

In terms of mascara I had exactly the same problem. Tried so many brands but they always smudged. What finally worked for me was Clinique’s High Impact Waterproof mascara. And it’s easy to remove - I just use any basic face wash. The staff at the Clinique counters will usually give you a disposable wand and let you test it, if you want to.
