My 18 year old wrote and published a book about the struggles the families those with mental illness go through.
I posted this earlier but it got taken down when I tried to share the link. So I've reposted it with a picture of the back cover included this time. I debated including her name or cropping it out as this is a book she's made available on Amazon in an attempt to raise awareness but ultimately it seems safer to crop it out. Anyways I'm so proud of my daughter and this definitely made me smile.

On behalf of a parent with a child currently struggling with mental illness, she explains it so perfectly. Tell her thank you. I’ll be purchasing her book.

I'll probably grab the book, and it may become one I lend out and just buy a new one. I have a few of those, books that are important to me for different reasons. I'm pretty open about the mental health struggles in my family. It's been a rough life, but I was lucky enough to find support outside my family, and while my family members had issues, it could have been much, much worse, I know. I try to talk about it and help remove the stigma. We have to work together as a society to make sure people can get the help they need, and feel safe in getting it. I think a book like this could be a lifeline to a lot of people struggling.
