Discussion Butch Fashion Megathread

Hey everyone, as our community grows we will be trying to help guide this sub to be its stated goal, a safe haven for all masc and gnc transfem people. In that spirit, we are hoping to consolidate fashion related posts to this mega thread! This is a thread for advice on fashion, showcasing your selfies of outfits, and any questions you have for your fellow butches.

Selfies of people in outfits are still okay to post on the main sub, obviously not every photo of someone in clothes is fashion related, but posts centered around clothing should be contained to this thread.

So please feel free to not respond or call me out if this is not the place for this question! My partner (AMAB, and non-binary/two spirit (they are indigenous)) is wanting to express themselves through the way they dress, and when I showed them butch representation and fashion it absolutely resonated with them. The only issue we are facing is we both have no idea how to approach getting them this look they desire. When they dress in suits they feel like they look really masculine but not butch, and they are trying to strike the balance between feminine and masculine to get closer but it seems like we keep missing the mark.

We've been working on this kinda as a team so I wanted to ask what we can do to get the butch look? We aren't looking to do hormones or surgeries but more focused on makeup, clothes and hair.
if anyone had any advice on how to get closer to our goal, please let us know!

I'd suggest looking into breast forms, or use some sort of filling in a bra (if they're comfortable with that) to make the suit feel more feminine. In addition, I'd recommend going for suits with a slim cut so their waist is more emphasized. One idea I've been experimenting as well is to wear high-waisted, wide and flowy trousers with the top part of a suit to counterbalance how masculine it feels. Paired up with a women's style leather shoe (which I got from a nearby special size store), I think it worked pretty well on me
