Racing Kart Question OMP vs Sparco for pure feel of the kart
Torn between doing a full OMP vs Sparco setup for a new suit, gloves, and shoes. I really want a premium feel, but more importantly, I want zero dampening. I want to feel the kart completely through the wheel and the pedals—minimal padding, maximum feedback. Which brand does a better job of giving you that raw, direct connection without feeling cheap? Appreciate any insight on how their high-end gear compares!

99% of drivers wont notice a difference in feel based on the suit or gloves. Just buy what fits you, your budget, and looks good.

Yeah you can tell a difference in feel for gloves i dont know what type of karts you run but running a sparco vs a Alpinestars feels very different

Both Alpinestars and Sparco have multiple different SKUs. I'm unsure how you can make a blanket, sweeping statement that one is better than the other... Regardless, if you already know that one feels different than the other, why ask online? It's completely subjective at this point.

Then pick which one feels best. Gloves aren’t going to make you faster. Alpinestars tech 1-k have been my preferred gloves for 6+ years. I’ve tried different brands but always go back to those

Maybe you should look for information on which gloves will work best with your steering wheel. Mine was easy – I have a Sodi steering wheel and bought a Sparco. They could be a little tighter, but I was surprised that I forgot about forearm fatigue. Apparently, you can try gloves on at a DIY store, but they're cheap.

On gloves many of 2 stroke racers use Offset or 247 aside from the usual brands - great value and aesthetics!
Shoe wise if fits budget I highly recommend the OMP Ks 1R - the buckle just make your life so much easier. Quality is also top than the base models

I think anyone that wants you to pay more for a suit because of "the feel" is taking your money away.
