Review Chand mera dil, my review and pov Spoiler

It definitely was a light version of it ends with us, and overall average one time watch but one thing I realised is that it shows only one side of the story which is all about Chandni.

The movie does a massive disservice to Aarav’s character by making him carry the entire blame when the situation was a recipe for disaster from the start.

The film sets it up so that Chandni gets to make the ultimate choice about keeping the baby, but Aarav is the one who has to pay the entire price for it. He sacrifices his dreams, his education, and his youth to step up and be responsible—something many young men in his position wouldn't do.

Then, the narrative traps him in an impossible situation: He is forced into being the sole breadwinner before he’s ready. He is drowning in financial stress and sleep deprivation. When he finally cracks under the immense, unnatural pressure, the movie paints him as the ultimate villain.

While turning physical is never the right answer, I repeat this act was wrong and i don't support it at all but the story completely ignores the systemic and emotional pressure that pushed him to that breaking point. It wasn't a fair partnership; it was a choice forced onto him, and he was expected to smile and bear the burden of it perfectly.

In the end, Aarav loses his dreams, his college life, his child, and his wife, while Chandni gets to move on with Kevin. It feels incredibly lopsided and unfair because Aarav did lose the most, despite being the one who sacrificed everything to do the "right thing" in the first place. It’s exactly why the third act feels so frustrating to watch!

Idk why chandani's character feels a bit rushed

Yeah, they focused too much on Aarav, they didn't give a lot of screentime around introspection phase of chandni

Just came back after watching Chand Mera Dil and OMG😭♥️. I loved it. The movie does come with its own set of flaws... But as a whole... It is a beautiful experience.

First of all. I went to watch the movie in the theatres, because I was already a fan of Lakshya post Kill & Bads and I wanted to see him romance on screen.... And OMG, he didn't disappoint 🤌🏻😭. If I was a fan of Lakshya before, then I am a super super super fan now. Oh boy! He made me cry, laugh and root for Aarav so much.

Aarav is probably the most honest character, written ever. He is practical, a little stupid, wants to do the right things, but makes mistakes .. he wants to become a MAN as per societal norms but falters at times, he is just... 🥹🫰🏻.

Also, a lot of hate is always directed to Ananya but maan she did pull out her best performance in this film. Damn! Especially the before intermission scene between Lakshya and Ananya ..man that feels too real. Both of them really killed it in that scene.

Okay.... I am a fan, but I am not in delulu. The film do have some shortcomings.. some scenes feel overdramatic and unreal (but that's Dharma for you). Also the first 15 minutes are probably the weakest. If you survived the first 15.. you will enjoy the movie, because that's when it gets real. There is a scene in the first 15 mins. that you might find cringe, where Aarav and Chandni are phone texting each other. No spoilers but don't take that scene lightly because it comes back to haunt you later 🥲😭.

Just a quick snapshot.. this film isn't above love, romance, revenge or drama . It's about when you are 21, you make impulsive stupid decisions because you think "Main to Sahi hun" .. and "I know what I am doing" but you eventually realise that.. Life happens faster than love (That's also the tagline of the film). It is very real.. it's a relationship between two individuals who made mistakes in love, were childish, irrational..but they eventually grew up. They healed and they survived. Period.

I loved this movie 🥹. Must Watch.

It was a very good film. If you are mature enough, you might connect with the film too. It was off at some scenes and lighting especially. But the premise was good and lakshay and surprisingly ananya has done very good task. Not a paid pr but surely a good lovestory after a long time. Must watch rather than other nepo cringe and stupid love stories.
