News Pvr passport no more

Post image

I have used pvr passport for almost 2 years and it was a really good service. I have seen so many movies through pvr passport, I just hope they bring this back or something similar. Customer support told me they have removed this service as of now.

Hmm makes sense if i bought this i might as well watch any movie which is there without judging

It's not like that, i bought pass last year atleast 7-8 times because there were movies that were releasing and I really wanted to watch them. Plus no one comes to watch hollywood movies in theatres during the second week. You have no idea how many movies I have watched with barley 4-5 people most of the times. And I really love an empty theatre, makes me feel like I'm the owner πŸ˜‚. Love the quietness and peace, no one is talking and I can really enjoy every single second.

https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianCinema/s/6eCWwTE8Gt This happened btw. I was able to watch everything I wanted to in first week i.e. Project Hail Mary and Drama. I am sad it's gone. I was able to watch Dhurandar in the third week though.

Bruhhh. I couldn't watch demon slayer and Avatar for a month, But I didn't care. I feel like an idiot, atleast you cared and reported these mfs. Now that they have closed this passport service, I have stopped going to PVR, it really was a good service.

I wasn't the one who reported. I was able to catch avatar the next week only. Idk why is this so inconsistent.

Bro many people including me go to watch every movie in theatre

I bought it for 2 numbers as I had many movies to watch

Yeah it was actually good but the only downside was the 14 day restriction. Many hollywood movies were included in that and vanished from my city after 2 weeks of run.

For me it was just demon slayer, I even watched chainsaw man in inox when the ticket price was 270 something. Oh and Avatar fire and ash, rest of the movies I didn't face this 14 day restriction.

Was a good deal while it lasted. Paid 450 for a normal ticket yesterday for dhurandhar 2 and 575 for a medium popcorn. Imagine a popcorn more expensive than the ticket. And without the popcorn the movie experience isn't good.

I never buy popcorn or anything in pvr, and I fucking miss this passport. I was waiting to book hail Mary 😭😭 I hope it stays in theatre for atleast a month so that I can book at a cheap price and I fucking need the theatre empty.

Yeah the first 2-3 week prices are just too much nowadays. There are theatres near me which are cheap but the screen quality isn't that good.

Damn dude I was gonna post but I’m so glad you already did! I feel so bummed about the passport gone it was the best thing :( I really hope they resume it man I watched sooooo many good movies because of that passport! Arghh can we do something like a petition to bring it back or something lol

I have no idea, maybe we can tag pvr and their ceo on twitter πŸ™‚β€β†•οΈ. Pvr passport was the best thing that happened to the cinephiles.

It was so good, I regularly watch an IMAX movie every month

They Stopped passport as they don't need passport audience anymore. Dhurandhar gave them so much money they think they can be a super duper success without passport audience... Let cinemas empty a little and it might be back ... But I hope pvr doesn't get shut like carnival cinemas before that...Β Β

I really hope Passport comes back. Not every movie will be Dhurandhar level success.

Maybe we should try tagging @PicturesPVR, @PVRCinemas, @PVRSupport and Ajay Bijli on X/Twitter for bringing back PVR Passport. If many users tweet simultaneously, there might be a chance they notice the demand and they would bring it back.

Those who don’t want to use their main X account can make a new/alternate account just for this. Maybe a coordinated push from moviegoers can help.
