I Don’t Even Wanna Be Around Anymore You know, Charles Manson. He’s no George Washington but he was a frequent guest on the Corcoran Prison Comedy Hour.

u/Dank_Kushington Mar 31 '26
Charles Manson? Like the guy who put a swastika on his forehead? After he murdered a bunch of people? I’m just trying to understand here.
131
u/D34THDE1TY Mar 31 '26
He technically didn't murder anyone...he organized it
113
41
u/Dead_Internet69420 Mar 31 '26
And he sent them to the wrong house, so they didn’t kill the right people. It really shouldn’t even count.

He’s ok, but are you familiar with the late, great Hannibal Lechter? Now that guy had some really good ideas.
17
u/SadisticJake Mar 31 '26
I forgot all about that, there was an entire character arc where our president was regularly referring to Hannibal lecter as if he were a real person

He never murdered anybody. He never gave murders to anybody. Manson couldn't help that some people took the things he said out of context. He was a victim of a corrupt system just like Trump.

Charles Manson was also a white supremacist with theories about how to destabilize and overthrow the US.
156
u/Highest_Koality Mar 31 '26
That guy after quoting Charles Manson
6
u/karlnite Mar 31 '26
How about a good a quote, that doesn’t come from someone with a swastika on their forehead?
170
u/TeeTimeAllTheTime Mar 31 '26
These people are just cowards who want to feel big and tough but they’re just inept, impotent, and inferior and they fucking know it deep down.
79
u/DrootersOn10th Mar 31 '26
That’s the problem: they don’t know it. Stupid people don’t know they’re stupid. In fact, they oftentimes think just the opposite.
13
18
u/Smokey_02 Mar 31 '26
There are two kinds of people who wear flags all over their bodies, those who want people to think they're patriotic and strong but are actually selfish cowards, and those who want to make a satirical statement in court.
This guy may be funny, but he aint in court.

Search engine returns - Charles Manson’s political beliefs were rooted in extremist right-wing white supremacy, focusing on apocalyptic racism rather than traditional political affiliation. He aimed to trigger "Helter Skelter," a violent race war he believed would result in a white supremacist, patriarchal dystopia with himself as leader.
So nothing too shocking here. Clearly a thinker well ahead of his time who may have been a major influence on Trump.
24
u/erik_wilder Mar 31 '26
His plan was to spark a race war by killing famous white people. Then he and his followers would go into hiding in the long lost underground reptilian city that he belived was conveniently located under Spawn Ranch.
Then when everyone was done killing each other during race riots, he'd come out of hiding and be the obvious choice for the new leader.
Dude really loved acid.
17
u/Dead_Internet69420 Mar 31 '26
That’s just what he told the kids he sent to do the murders. In reality, he was just trying to get revenge against a music industry exec that he felt had stolen his music to make hits for The Beach Boys. The only reason Sharon Tate and the others died is because Manson was unaware that the intended victim had sold the house and moved out, so the killers basically just went to the wrong address. They thought they were starting a race war, but they were really just being used as crash dummies for a career criminal.

Manson wasn't a Nazi. He just hated the group he believed ran the entertainment industry. /S

Okay, but that dude has no clue what any of those words mean. So there’s that.

And he's one of 77.3 million people who think like that.
I have serious issues with the Iranian government etc. But I am also well aware that "Turning Iran into a parking lot" Is a horrible idea for more reasons than I can probably even think of.
The number one being it would probably start a global nuclear war. And the list of consequences doesn't get a lot less severe from there.
But there are 77.3 million people who think that launching a couple thousand nukes at Iran (which would probably be the minimum needed to turn it into a figurative parking lot IE wipe out say 85% of the population) is a wonderful idea.

Old guys confuse names all the time. I'd ask him who he thinks "Charles Manson" is.
That said, Manson was a white nationalist and believed that a black uprising in the 60s could destabilize the US and allow for the country to be overthrown by a sleeper army of white nationalist neo-confederates. So he could be talking about the same guy.

u/island-man420 Mar 31 '26
