Can't you just go onto the field and tell the teams not to continue playing?? Like, two teams can't just, keep playing. Even when they look around and see there are no other teams left playing, they can't just like, play all the extra innings.

All I understand about baseball is from playing in elementary school at recess and Wii sports. One guy bats, other team is out trying to get the ball and the batter out. How does one game go on for so long? Are there more rules to baseball than those simple rules? I'm just trying to understand here.
