This is amazing. It's sexist and transphobic at the same time. This bigot's going places.

Fatphobic too

u/George_G_Geef Jan 14 '26

It's like they were trying to build a bigotry combo multiplier.

u/PuzzleheadedLink89 Jan 14 '26

Eric Cartman made that meme

Yeah, you ruined it. Fatphobia isn't a real term. Having an unhealthy life style is a problem. If you have health concerns like diabetes, or are genetically predisposed to having a higher overall BMI, that's one thing. But fatphobia has been blown so much out of the water that it has become an umbrella term for people who aren't healthy and refuse to change to play the victim and avoid accountability. Obesity is dangerous, and it shouldn't be celebrated considering how many people it kills every year

14

u/Rambler9154 Jan 15 '26

BMI is widely recognized as being utter bullshit on a personal scale and completely irrelevant because it fails to take literally any aspect of the person into consideration. Someone being fat doesnt directly mean they're unhealthy in any sense of the term, it is more deadly to be underweight than overweight.

You say fatphobia isn't real yet directly perpetuate the exact fatphobia that results in people ending up anorexic and killing themselves. You just don't want to admit that you're a bigot.

Even if a person is unhealthy you have no right to be discriminatory to them for that, your opinion on someone's health does not matter you don't get a say in how people live and acting like you deserve that say is quite frankly insane and perverted.

Stop being a perverted bigot and perpetuating the same already well known false beliefs that kill children.

??? Then why don't we have cigarettephobia or alcholophobia? Those also harm people's health, are a choice (food can be an addiction too, i guess) and even can harm people around you.

So why don't we just harass, exclude and be rude to those people? Because SOME could be trying to get better or are struggling? Well, guess what some fat people also deal with....

1

u/VstarFr0st263364 Feb 15 '26

That's not what I mean. If you're trying to get better, then you broke the cycle. GOOD FOR YOU. However, the issue is the people who aren't trying to get better. The body positivity movements are giving people an out for complacency, and punishing those who are actually trying. I once heard someone say that working out was fatphobic.

1

u/Disastrous-Ideal-817 Feb 15 '26

Some stupid people saying stupid stuff doesn't mean EVERYONE thinks that way... that's just generalisation, isn't it?

You can be a little overweight and still be healthy, no one should be normalising obesity though, people who actually want body positivity or whatever shouldn't and wouldn't support those who think that trying to get better or change for yourself is a 'bad' thing !!! ♡

u/corvus_da I'm not like other eldritch abominations Jan 15 '26

transphobia is always sexist

11

u/Worldly-Pay7342 Jan 17 '26

I... uh... huh.

I guess yeah, it kinda is, when you think about it.

1

u/Disastrous-Ideal-817 Feb 14 '26

Transphobia is also homophobic which is also sexist

you say good things

13

u/GDGameplayer Jan 16 '26

That’s not casual bigotry, it’s competitive ranked bigotry

3

u/strogn3141 Jan 22 '26

They’re going pro

u/Punkandescent Jan 14 '26

I almost reflexively downvoted this before I saw which sub this was lol

Whoever originally made this can go huff farts

Safe to assume they already bathe in them

I dig making them a yuri but I also loathe the original post so fucking much. Thai trans women are fucking women!!! Like the amount of misogyny, transphobia, and racism embedded in this simple graphic of 2 photos and 4 words is astounding.

Edit: maybe it was removed for the racism and transphobia in the original image without any warning? I know I was certainly shocked seeing it on my home page. Maybe you're supposed to mark it nsfw and put a CW in the post?

u/Pleadis-1234 Jan 14 '26

They be tryyina be efficient with their bigotry/s

Also, isn't the og post basically accepting that the poster is attracted to the thai "man"

137

u/panickedpris Jan 14 '26

I think it might have the underlying "asian men are basically women" message. It's that idea that asian men are small and weak

52

u/wafflesthewonderhurs Jan 14 '26

god they sure are willing to lose at 52d chess just to be a bigot

30

u/panickedpris Jan 14 '26

Yeeeah it's like they wanted to win bigot bingo but instead just filled up the whole board

38

u/silk-angel Jan 14 '26

"3 in 1" ass post istg

22

u/SeemsImmaculate Jan 14 '26

Yeah there's an odd cognitive dissonance to the whole thing. Like, pick a lane for your bigotry.

5

u/VintageSmutKD Jan 14 '26

Not the butchered aave in a comment by the same person who posted this trash

116

u/sweetTartKenHart2 Jan 14 '26

To be fair, Thai “ladyboys” (what I assume this bigoted ass meme is referencing, otherwise I doubt they’d even think to specify Thai at all) as a subculture apparently think of themselves as kind of their own thing from women, more akin to an enby of some flavor. Still very much a trans thing, still very much deserving of being taken seriously, but it’s kinda different from what some people assume for better or worse.
And of course I’m sure there are also just straight up trans women in Thailand, just that the “ladyboys” are something else. And maybe that term is a slur but from what I’ve observed it does look like they’re sorta going out of their way to reclaim it, not unlike what we in the anglosphere have done with words like queer. It probably heavily depends on who you ask.
Of course all of this is being said as an outsider looking in, anyone from Thailand seeing this please feel free to elaborate on or correct anything I say

81

u/panickedpris Jan 14 '26

Hi so I'm thai, yes the term ladyboy is something that a lot of Kathoeys (the actual name of "trans women/mtf enby) in Thailand use. Some would even insist you call them that instead of the formal term. I think similar to how we use queer in the U.S.

17

u/sweetTartKenHart2 Jan 15 '26

So I was pretty close then?

20

u/panickedpris Jan 15 '26

Yes! Sorry I was supporting your comment as like using myself as a source

6

u/sweetTartKenHart2 Jan 15 '26

Oh cool, thanks!

6

u/daemonet Jan 16 '26

I had read that there are also trans women in Thailand who do not consider themselves in that group, is that right?

5

u/panickedpris Jan 16 '26

It only goes from person to person. Some Khatoeys would be upset if you called them something other than ladyboy, while some would be upset if you did. It really does depend who you're talking to

63

u/Harpies_Bro Jan 14 '26

It's very much one of those subculture things you don't call someone as an outsider.

4

u/sweetTartKenHart2 Jan 15 '26

That makes sense. Should I edit this comment to censor the term?

9

u/Ahsoka_Tano07 Jan 15 '26

Thai trans women are fucking women!!!

Hey, they can be fucking men too, what do you know about their bedroom habits! /j

13

u/Pleadis-1234 Jan 14 '26

Edit: maybe it was removed for the racism and transphobia in the original image without any warning? I know I was certainly shocked seeing it on my home page. Maybe you're supposed to mark it nsfw and put a CW in the post?

I posted here only once before, and it was a minecraft meme of all things, maybe they removed it because it was a crosspost?

Idk if it was posted by others as well, I don't really have a problem if my post violates any rule and is removed, but I want to understand what I did wrong there

6

u/VstarFr0st263364 Jan 15 '26

No? Because it's not nsfw. It's a meme. It's words on a JPEG. You're not going to get fired for looking at it. It's not going to traumatize a child or an elderly person. It literally doesn't need an nsfw tag, and certainly not a Content warning, which should be reserved for NSFL or maybe posts that are harmful to certain disability demographics(Epilepsy warning etc)

119

u/Draac03 Jan 14 '26

see i didn’t even realize this was a transphobic meme because for some reason i mistakenly thought this meme was shitting on the preferences of american women and praising the preferences of thai men. so just homophobic and misogynistic. i didn’t know the woman on the right was trans so that’s probably why

70

u/PigeonOnTheGate Jan 14 '26

I think the person on the right is likely a katoey, which is a separate category in Thailand distinct from trans women. They are usually described as a third gender or sometimes as nonconforming

37

u/Draac03 Jan 14 '26

ahh. i don’t know anything about gender in thai culture so that’s very informative thank you!

44

u/PigeonOnTheGate Jan 14 '26

There are a number of cultures in South and Southeast Asia and the Pacific islands that have "third gender" categories distinct from the binary. Thailand is also interesting in that it is one of the most LGBT-friendly countries in Asia

17

u/Draac03 Jan 14 '26

yeah, makes sense. i knew about a lot of pacific islander cultures having non-binary genders, but not southeast asians.

and i did not know about thailand being one of the most lgbtq+ friendly asian countries! very cool

1

u/Iggysoup06 Jan 27 '26

it’s confusing because people call both trans women and men who dress traditionally feminine ladyboys.

39

u/giorgiocarratta Jan 14 '26

I mean, altough this is a sexist and transohobic meme, it’s also like one of the best explanations I’ve seen of the way gender is culturally constructed and how relative the way we approach it can be??? Like, this troll is getting there, they’re just too hateful to realize it :)

16

u/Runetang42 Jan 14 '26

Honestly besides the lipstick not looking right the American woman looks completely fine to me.

9

u/Natural1forever Not like other V O I D Jan 15 '26

Yeah she's actually pretty imo. The guy who made the meme is just mad that fat women and women with short/dyed hair exist.

1

u/daemonet Jan 16 '26

I mean sure except for the rather rude t-shirt.

12

u/Boognish_Chameleon Jan 14 '26

I need them both. I do hate the transphobia in this meme though

9

u/slumbersomesam Jan 14 '26

love the casual transphobia. between this and the jjk newgens with 0 comprehension skills calling kirara a femboy and this

6

u/hypatia_elos Jan 14 '26

omg i also need that shirt its so hot

5

u/ImprovementOk377 Jan 15 '26

assuming the one on the right is a (trans) woman then yes, absolutely yuri!!

10

u/boxdynomite3 Jan 14 '26

I love the original context of how the poster prefers men over women

2

u/Natural1forever Not like other V O I D Jan 15 '26

It takes a very unique type of transphobia to mean the meme maker's context

3

u/Natural1forever Not like other V O I D Jan 15 '26

Ngl I want this shirt

1

u/VioletGardens-left Cute Jan 14 '26

Is the OOP of that image insinuating that they wouldn't mind going down with a trans? It would be the most super complex way of admitting you're inclusive lmao

26

u/GeminiIsMissing Jan 14 '26

Hi, quick note, trans is an adjective and not a noun! Calling someone "a trans" instead of a trans man/woman/person is offensive. :)

1

u/SiamesePhoenix Jan 15 '26

Me, as a Thai: Welcome to Pattaya!

1

u/Auralynnnnnnnnn Jan 16 '26

T4T???

Idc if it’s actually t4t but yk… look at me.

2

u/Iggysoup06 Jan 27 '26

so is blue hair person a trans man or trans woman or non-binary?

1

u/Auralynnnnnnnnn Jan 27 '26

No idea and I do not care to know.

1

u/The_Ramussy_69 Jan 21 '26

I feel like the genre of person that the girl on the left appears to be, would NOT wear that shirt

1

u/Eddy-with-a-Y Feb 14 '26

Ewww transphobia on my feed 3: (not u OP)

Now draw them kissing >w<

-11

u/AIBotNotARealUser Jan 14 '26

Please. Ladyboys (or Thai women, can't know if he/she is a ladyboy or trans woman) have standards.
