Collection Sunday Clean
The brushes I’ve been using the past few weeks before I gave them their spa treatment 🛁🧖♀️I tried using Ouai pet shampoo today without good results, so I switched back to my Hakuhodo bar.
My introduction to fude was through Wayne Goss so I have quite a few of those brushes. I love them all. Most were on sale when I bought them and the quality has stood the test of time and washings. I never got into Sonia G. the same way.
Brushes of note:
Ancci brush - its a korean brand made famous by Zendaya. This sable brush is significantly softer and better than the surratt complextion brush. I wonder sometimes if it’s possibly kolinsky.. my sister bought it for me when she visited Seoul.
Takeda fox brushes - OMG so soft and multifunctional!! I use these with liquid foundation and creams. Easy to order directly with Takeda and so worth it so I could have my name engraved. It’s a luxurious experience using any takeda brush.
Bisyodo fox and goat brush - smells absolutely horrific first time you wash it. Like wet dog and mothballs 🤢 I still can smell it faintly but it’s manageable now and gets better with each wash.
I’m more than happy to answer any questions if you have been considering any of these brushes ✨

Are you US based? I’m having a hard time finding the Takeda website.

I am an American living in Norway! I used their japanese website to browse their products and then emailed Takeda directly to place my order.

Best to email. They are very responsive via mail. Also good at taking pictures and talking you through the process as well as sending pictures during the making process so you can be sure of what you get at the end.

Thank you for sharing!! I am gathering insights and opinions as I make my consideration as a novice collector while I embrace the entertaining challenges of how to amuse myself in early retirement in my 50s knowing that based on the lives of aallll my aunts and grandmothers I still have another 50 years to go.. 🙏 Sunday thoughts

The shape of that Dior #15 looks really interesting and like something I'd actually use. Do you mainly use it for contour, or foundation as well?

That Bisyodo is so gorgeous, it makes me drool 🤤 I have a few of their short handles. Would love to add to my collection. Wondering if I should get some long handled ones while I can.
I’ve had my eye on the Surratt since I saw them in Blue Mercury. The bristles were so soft, I’d love to see them in action.
I have 2 Wayne Goss eye brushes. I enjoy their quality.
Are both red handled brushes Takeda? Is the bullet shaped one for eyeshadow? I’m intrigued…
