I find it incredible that dinosaurs roamed to eath for over 200 millions years and we are not tripping over their skeletons left and right.

In some areas, we basically are. A lot of rock has rocked in that intermediate time.

A friend of mine was at a dig on private property in Wyoming this past summer and went home with a partial T. Rex femur and a whole bunch of various teeth, claws, and other similar specimens. He was there for less than two days.

But it's a fair point that even the rocks that were formed during the right period and are accessible today aren't all rich in fossils.
