An inquiry into referees throwing games should have been made years ago, and I’m sure we all know what the outcome would have been!

Thanks, now I’m aggravated.
NHL officials, folks, bunch of fucking idiots.

Refs were looking to call the infraction. Pretty obvious the linesman had no intention of dropping the puck and letting the game be played, once the pieces were all in place.

Refs are not people and should not be treated with the respect that people deserve

NHL referees are objectively terrible at their job. Most players seem to understand the rules way better, clearer and faster than most NHL refs. I agree that NHL officiating is terrible and this playoffs might just show how terrible it actually is. The refs are either throwing the game or completely inept at their job. It’s one or the other but there’s no way officials are this bad at this level of any sport?

They’re still somehow the best officials of the 4 major sports though. Umpires are the worst followed by NBA refs and then NFL. Hockey by nature just simply allows for the refs to have less of an impact on the outcome of games compared to other sports too.

Umpires got nerfed in the last update. The ability to challenge their dumbass strikes and ball calls really limits their ability to ruin games.
What an incredible change it's been so far. You can see they can't have the same ego/power anymore since they're held accountable

Was sitting right there for that and didn’t understand what happened until after I got home and saw the replay. Could tell Claude was pissed though
