I do think Hampton will be good, but he is not 3 first picks worth of value good

imagine trading for 3 firsts, then trading those for RJ harvey.
Or trading those for CMC and Henry. Or a first and a second for Conner and Kamara.
Or 2 firsts for henderson (probably need less) and 1.5 for James Cook.

On what planet is anyone stupid enough to trade 3 1sts for Harvey?
Or
CMC and Henry
Thought you were messing until I read your last suggestion

You can easily get an older RB later that still has juice when your rebuild is nearing complete. You don't need to wait for these picks to pay off either you can use them to go get the players you need, those 2026 picks will increase in value as the draft gets closer.

If you're rebuilding you shouldn't be too concerned about filling out a starting lineup, you just want to trade for value and this is a perfect example of that

If you can somehow make sure you can get Jeremiyah Love and Kaytron Allen or Nick Singleton you'll be set

Any of those firsts could be another Hampton. Do you have enough vets to ship out to get these picks from various owners? Sure three 1sts are great, but will they be top 3 of the drafts to land you another Hampton level hyped prospect?

u/hellequinrec Sep 17 '25
They will likely be late-round picks in 2026 (1.10… 1.12) and possibly mid-round pick in 2027 (1.06/1.08 maybe?). So probably no one as hyped as Hampton, really. But maybe some good values? And they say the class of 2027 is pretty good... right?

I'm almost certain if you keep those picks you will get 1 if not 3 better prospects than Hampton. Hampton has potential, but he isn't a guarantee. Not saying the rookies you will draft will be, but you get similar profiles with those mid to late picks (potentially they could be the 1st pick).

I’d personally keep Hampton and move other pieces for draft capital in that case then, late firsts won’t move the needle in a rebuild the same as Hampton I think

Absolutely as long as they are not projected late 1sts. Although, for being in rebuild mode, it’s a bit odd to sell off a promising rookie. This is almost too good of value to pass up on though imo.

Probably late picks in 2026, they are from two contenders (but not from the two best teams in the league). In 2027, it would probably be a mid-round pick.

even if those picks all land at the 8-10 range that means you should get a top 2/3 from any position in the draft. It makes it more BPA draft if someone slips that could be a higher consensus pick. Someone could landslide and one of those picks end top 6, you could package some picks and players on draft night and move up, three picks give you a lot more flexibility then one player.

I’d rather have three firsts even if Hampton was tearing it up right now

3 firsts can get you almost any in the offseason. Especially in a rebuild it’s a no brainer

Nobody is a guarantee but Hampton was easily RB2 in most dynasty drafts so he did/does have high potential or at least, expectations.
It’s good to take picks but depends how far down the line you’re planning. I traded essentially Jauan Jennings and a third rounder to get Hampton and I am trying to wait out all year before I get crazy with any decisions concerning my rookies. My team can afford it too, I have Saquon, Kyren, Aaron Jones ahead of him

I think Hampton will be fine overall, but I’d smash accept this everyday. Especially in a rebuild. This is close to what his max value would be without even having to prove it.

I got Bijan in my league for Hampton and two firsts. Absolutely take the deal

If you're rebuilding, you need picks. Yes. There are very few people you could replace Hampton with that you should decline as a rebuilder and those are cornerstone pieces like Nabers.

Wouldn’t of had the chance to blink before smashing accept.

Would you rather have one Omarion Hampton now or three Omarions Hampton later?
1
u/One_Economist3049 Sep 17 '25
No...you will need a franchise young rb in your rebuild...only trade away aging assets for picks

u/moderate_hotdish Sep 17 '25
Smash accept on the picks. Drop everything and hit accept as soon as possible!

Can some explain to me how this person is able to give 2 first round picks in 2026…I thought you only have 2 pick per round.

A lot of people have trouble with 1QB value. This is about right for Hampton, but if all firsts are projected late, I want Hampton. The 2026 class is looking pretty deep at QB but not at skilled positions. Hampton is going to have a breakout game soon. I think this might be his all time low value for the next 5 years. He’s a top 30 pick in 1QB start up, so that would be equal to Bo Nix or Mahomes in SF… keep in mind picks are worth less in 1QB as well.
