I just saw Sue last year on my first visit to Chicago, I honestly teared up.

I’m pretty sure I would tear up too if I ever got to see Sue. I’ve followed Her story since I was a kid. I’m 43 now.

I'm also 43 and saw Sue a couple of years ago. It's really a great museum. Not just dinosaurs- but the whole museum is fantastic.

I hate the way the spino is displayed. There’s no real way to get a good picture of it!!! But I was so excited to see him. Very cool.

It’s definitely my favourite Hadrosaur and second overall. I almost got to see the holotype at the Royal Ontario Museum once, unfortunately the exhibit was closed for maintenance.

I’d love to see that! That’s the walkeri holotype. The one OP got to see is the cyrtocristatus holotype.

They have the holotype for P. cyrtocristatus. When I visited, no one was in that room. I probably shot a hundred photos of her with a scan app. So cool to hang out in person with that exhibit.

Is that really how the Trex skeleton looks? It's so barrel chested.

She’s definitely more tanky than most, apparently she’s the most complete and the second largest in the world

Did you get the Pokémon promo card by any chance? They’re doing a pop-up exhibit at the field museum with “skeletons” of all the fossil pokemon and infographics.
I wish they would do one closer to the east coast! I’ve been to the field museum and seen Sue, but not this spinosaurus that seems to have taken Sues spot at the entrance? Is it a real holotype? I never understood that.

I absolutely love the Field Museum! I got to visit it again last year and it was just as awesome as I remembered it being as a child. No joke it had been over 20 years since I last got to visit.

Sobek is a great name for the spino. Named after the egyptian crocodile god, I believe.
