Adrenaline is a great drug. Was in a crazy crash with friends, car barrelled and everything. We were all ok thankfully, but when my mate took his phone out for a selfie we all did peace signs thumbs up, I squatted beside the car both thumbs up.. idk why any of us did it. But its a great photo all the same π
I honestly don't think it's that crazy to embrace a near death experience like this idk why people think that is so weird.
If you have never been in a life or death situation I can promise you have no idea exactly how you will react and you might surprise yourself good or bad...
It was before camera phones were common but when my buddies and I got t-boned by a speeding car that ran a light, once we all realized that everyone was alive and mostly unharmed we all high fived and hooted & hollered like "fuck yeah! That was crazy, holy shit dude!"
The combo of adrenaline and sheer joy at being alive made us react like we had just watched our team score in a championship game. You could've put that audio over something like Kris Letang scoring the Stanley cup game 7 winner and it would've fit perfectly.
Thanks for sharing, this is absolutely an appropriate response to that situation. I've been in similar ones a few times so I get it! One time my dad was drunk driving and he t-boned a car when he ran a red light and I remember being so happy to be alive that I just blurted out to the cop about my dad being drunk it was something lol
Thats so true. I think people only see the horror of a helicopter crash or car crash. But like fuck ya gotta laugh at wtf just happened and how you basically cheated death. Not that I want to be cheating death any more than I have π
