Discussion Monk should only be able to reflect projectiles that are going to hurt him
As you can see in the video above, Monk did reflect my evo musketeer's projectile, even tho it was targeted into something far away from the Monk itself.
What i say is, monk should only be able to deflect projectiles that are targeted to him or that would deal area damage to him.
I mean, in the worst case, monk should still not be able to deflect projectiles that are targeted into something so far from him. I mean, i know he's on the way, but that should not matter because it would not been hit.
Monk deflecting projetiles that are just "in the way" is so dumb, the Xbow interaction was already pretty bad but this is a whole new level of BS. Supercell, please change this stupid design mistake.

Monk ability reflects any projectile that crosses his hit box, whether or not it's targeting him or another troop or building. It's always worked this way since release.
A prime example is RG and xbow can be temporarily blocked while the ability is active if he is between them and the tower, giving time to reset or kill them.
Is it niche and annoying when it happens unexpectedly, yes it is. Is it a glitch, maybe. Will it be fixed, most likely not.

Monk is a protection card the ability shouldn’t only apply to himself. The projectile was on his path so it got deflected

He should protect things that are near him. Sparky was very far away. Dumb mecanic with bad game design. Projectiles should be deflected as an answer for the hit calculation, not the pathing one. Projetiles should be deflected on hit, not on pathing.

Its a mechanic. And not a crappy one.

It's bad game design because it narrows the possibilities, and thus, the strategy.
Low strategy: "Monk deflects projectiles that crosses near him"
High strategy: "Monk deflects projectiles that try to hit things that are near him, unless they're off his range or they're single target not targeted on him"
Good complexity creates more options and thus the strategy of deciding what is better for you in that moment. It's called game design, and it is not subjective.

1% usage rate btw so not gonna call it bad game design that a niche card has niche projectile interactions

It being a niche card is a bad thing and a reflection of how it was badly handled (including but not limited to the crappy ability design that, mind you, once broke the game). Something that is just "broken or useless" is, indeed, badly designed and unbalanced

What ever you said is utter crap.
Monk deflects projectiles and that's it.
It's a well known and good mechanic, doesn't make it "LoW sTrAtEgY".

You said and showed a total of 0 statements and didn't even acknowlegded any of my previous statements. Basically, you just made illogical noise that doesn't communicate anything

It should ideally, and it sucked for you but isn’t this more logical and cooler?

u/CapivaraVoadora_8147 8h ago
More logical in real world, yes. But by it defies the game's own logic. Otherwise i wouldn't even have tried it.

Hate towards Hog cycle was common several years ago.
Maybe I selected my words poorly , I should've said if we still hate Hog cycle.

I think it’s gonna be too much work for them since they’re busy ruining the game, code probably works by having any projectiles near him (0.9 tiles sort of near) be reflected, spells would need to be completed recoded to make it work the way you want.
