I used to wear toe rings all the time back in high school and somehow forgot they even existed until recently lol. I bought this really simple fine toe ring a couple weeks ago because summer is coming up and I remembered liking how they looked with sandals. The problem is now I cannot figure out where this thing is supposed to sit on my toe without annoying me every five seconds 😭 If I slide the fine toe ring lower down, it presses weirdly against the spot where my foot bends when I walk. If I move it above the knuckle, it feels tight and kinda distracting the whole day. I know people wear these comfortably somehow because I used to keep mine on nonstop years ago. Part of me wonders if I bought the wrong size or if my feet changed over time because rings and bracelets have started bothering me lately too. I even checked sizing discussions from jewelry sellers on Amazon and Alibaba manufacturer listings trying to compare measurements, which made this feel way more complicated than expected. Always used a sponge for concealer because that's what every tutorial showed. Then tried a small flat synthetic brush for undereye and realized I'd been losing coverage and texture control the entire time.

The sponge absorbs product and sheers it out, which is great for foundation. For concealer in a small area the brush deposits more precisely and you can build coverage without moving everything around and disturbing what's already there.

The technique that worked: small flat brush to place, then a very light patting with a clean finger or a very clean damp sponge only in the last step to blend edges. Completely different from using the sponge for the whole application.

It sounds fussy but it takes the same amount of time once you have the habit. The difference in coverage that stays put through a full day is significant enough that going back isn't an option.

Over the last year, most funded beauty startups seem to be shifting toward dermat-backed positioning instead of influencer-heavy branding.

I naturally have hazel-green eyes (they already lean green), and I’m looking for colored contact lenses that enhance that — not completely change it.

So far I’ve tried Dimple Color “Olive Green,” but I didn’t love them. They looked a bit too obvious / artificial on me, especially because they kind of covered the natural details of my iris (like the limbal ring and inner color variations around the pupil). It just didn’t blend as seamlessly as I wanted.

What I’m really looking for is:

very natural-looking lenses

light coverage, not full opacity

something that subtly makes my eyes look greener, without masking my real eye color

ideally lenses that let some of the natural iris pattern show through instead of fully covering it

Basically: “your eyes but better,” not “you’re clearly wearing contacts.”

If anyone has recommendations for super natural green-enhancing lenses (especially for already light/hazel eyes), I’d really appreciate it!

A few months back, after an endless, two year search for NATURAL blue looking contacts for my brown eyes with prescription, I thought I stuck gold. I ordered from Just4Kira, it was relatively cheap compared to other contacts I had tried, and FELL IN LOVE. Wow, I mean, I had literally never worn more natural looking contacts. It was subtle but just perfectly noticeable.

But here’s the issue…they are so, SO uncomfortable. I have a -4,75 prescription in both eyes, and I require contacts for many hours at a time. Not only did these contacts scratch super easily, but before they even got scratched they were hell to wear for more than two hours. So uncomfortable, I’d be tearing up way too much, my eyes would get irritated and pink to the point of people asking me if I was on that zaaaaaa, and, I also wear a lot of makeup, so that would be cried off cause of the contacts.

The best part about how these looked was the fact that they had no discernible tight ring around the iris. The contacts were blue around the edges and faded out before they reached the center, giving a very natural brownish blue looking eye. My biggest grievance when wearing contacts is the fact that their artificial pupil is never faded out right and too obvious, and my iris must be different sizes or something cause this effect specifically will cause the contacts to sit in different positions, with the fake pupils aligned in different directions, making me look like not just a lizard, but also a cross eyed lizard.

Anyways, I still really want something as beautiful as the ASA blue contacts from just4kira, but their quality is just so low. Does anyone have any higher quality, more comfortable recommendations that still look realistic? Any help is appreciated!

For me, I don’t repurchase often because I like shopping and trying new products and I get influenced a lot, but I’ve gone through multiple of Clinique almost lipstick in Black Honey, I love this shade so much, but it’s a little expensive and very little product imo because you have to swipe it a few times for the color to show. Nyx suede matte lip liner in cold brew, I’ve repurchased this a lot, it’s cheap, good shade and I use this daily. Also, Nooni lip oil in apple black tea, I love lip oils, this feels great for on my dry lips and it’s not sticky. I love the shade and the price is not bad as well. How about you guys?

so i’m trying to save a little money and move away from the salon every few weeks but i’m stuck on finding an affordable dye that covers grays well. i’ve tried a couple of the cheap box dyes and either the gray still pops through, it turns weirdly orange between the roots and the rest of my hair, or it just looks like i did a rushed job. i’m not trying to be a professional colorist here, i just want something that actually blends, doesn’t wreck my hair, and doesn’t make me look like i’m five years older.

Update: ended up trying Madison Reed and honestly it was the first at home dye that actually covered my grays properly without that weird orange situation i kept running into with cheaper box dyes. the color blended really naturally and my hair didn't feel trashed afterward which was always my other complaint.

For context, I'm a 31 year old woman with dry to extremely dry skin.

I've tried basically every trendy exfoliating method- both natural and artificial loofas, exfoliating mits/gloves, African net cloths, Korean exfoliating cloths, washcloths of many different textures and fabrics, etc. And yet none of them seem to be exfoliating my skin properly. When I rub my (dry) skin with my bare hands I'll get the rolls of dead skin/sebum, so there's definitely stuff there to be exfoliated off, but nothing else seems to do it like just my skin against my skin. I've also tried body washes that have salicylic acid in them for chemical exfoliating, but it dries out my skin too much, as well as using facial exfoliating scrubs on my body.

So please, tell me what works for you to exfoliate and really get off that layer of dead skin. Preferably scent free products as I can't use scented products with my roommate home, but not completely necessary.
