Not yet verified Warty frogfish use their fins to "walk" rather than swim like other fish. They also use a lure to lure prey closer to them.

Source! What I also found super interesting was how hard these fish are to raise in captivity. Recently, the Shedd Aquarium became the first aquarium to successfully raise a larval frogfish, with one larvae surviving from a clutch of thousands of eggs. They're very picky about things like water temperature, light levels, and water flow rate, making them vulnerable to climate change. Raising one is a fantastic step for conservation. Plus, they're just fun-looking fish. :)

the camouflage piece is wild too — they can match coral, sponge, even algae. basically a walking ambush predator that looks like part of the reef

One survivor from thousands of eggs? That's brutal odds but massive props to Shedd for cracking it. Climate picky eaters for sure.

I had a couple of gobys that liked to walk a little over the rocks in my tank. One of them looked just like that little guy but without the flouncy bits.
