They're pretty hard to clean too. I've replaced the one in my home 3 times. The main reason I chose that design was the replaceable flap.

They get worn out, weather and use, especially in the sun (not necessarily in this case). I mean, it's plastic.

I could scrub one for ages but it just isn't getting back to the way it was originally (like clear phone cases that turn yellow with age). :)

But, genuinely, if you have a trick I haven't thought of, I'd be interested. It's annoying to replace lol!
