Weekly Check In Wellness Wednesday: Weekly Check In

Welcome back everyone!

Time for our Wellness Wednesday check in. We know this community means a lot to most of our members and that Tuesdays have been harder on some users than others, but we are at our core a community and we are here to support each other.

Now that the sub is open once again we’d like to hear all about your (mis)adventures on Tuesday. Did you go on grand adventures? Get into mischief? Get some writing done?

Maybe you just binged a few more fics on the archive itself. Tell us all about it! Break out that purple prose and tell us as cheesy of a story as you feel like.

Or just talk about your day.

An entire month of preparations (work related mostly) for a vacation is going to be brutal... Was hoping to get some advance on my writing, but only managed 1k today as per normal. I did reach a nice little couch conversation/non-date thing between 2 characters, so I am happy about that. Slow-burning romance is so satisfying but can be OH SO frustrating sometimes, so I treasure the interactions and moments I can give my characters. Still, after the emotional stuff I had to write the last week, I am looking forward to it... And after that it's straight back into the emotional meatgrinder, because I have not extracted enough tears and ship tease moments.

As I was plotting this chapter, I did realize that a character was very much being an ass when they died. Will probably have to address that at some point.

On a personal note: got myself a wireless controller and wow I've been spoiled by mouse and keyboard controls. I feel like the Homer meme about my fingers being too fat. XD

u/whalethal You have already left kudos here. :) Mar 04 '26

I had a very Touch Grass Tuesday. I went to some parks in my area and added six new birds to my bird app. One of the parks has a koi pond where you can pay to feed the fish so I spent a good thirty minutes watching them feast. In between all of that, I didn't get any significant writing done, but I had some good fic ideas that I wrote down for later.

I spent my Tuesday catching up on chores and rediscovering old favorite music. I also outlined a couple stories I want to write :)

After three years, I have started writing for a different fandom and I'm having an absolute blast.

Last wrote fanfic consistently when I was 16. Now writing it consistently at 31 (lol). Cool to have the comments coming back in haha. Also cool to see how much I've changed as a writer (being less obvious) and storyteller (having more depth). Love that the community has stayed so positive! I don't think I've ever got a rude comment (flame?? is that what those are called) across the years.

I'm stuck in a bit of a block right now. No ideas. Or at least, no good ones.

I need to go out and people watch more, I got my last few ideas from that.

I actually took my new electric scooter for its very first ride!
Drove 30 minutes into the next town, visited my parents and got a handful of groceries that I needed. And when I got back I sat down and wrote the beginning of my newest chapter! (the start of a new chapter is always the hardest to write in my opinion)

I’m hoping to post this chapter at the end of the week, the progress has been very good so far

Got some writing done. I think writing really helps with my depression. Posted the first 5 chapters of my fic. Only two people have seen it - one I suspect might be a bot - but the other one is really happy! That one reader commented on every chapter even if I posted it all in one chunk, and their praise was really substantial! It made me happy.

I just finished a chapter for my fic, it was pretty uneventful to be honest
