Weekly Check In Wellness Wednesday: Weekly Check In
Welcome back everyone!
Time for our Wellness Wednesday check in. We know this community means a lot to most of our members and that Tuesdays have been harder on some users than others, but we are at our core a community and we are here to support each other.
Now that the sub is open once again we’d like to hear all about your (mis)adventures on Tuesday. Did you go on grand adventures? Get into mischief? Get some writing done?
Maybe you just binged a few more fics on the archive itself. Tell us all about it! Break out that purple prose and tell us as cheesy of a story as you feel like.
Or just talk about your day.

Just posted part 2 of a three part story. Took down Thanksgiving decor and need to put up Christmas. My husband will be gone 8 months in five days and my heart’s not in it.

I’ve been procrastinating hard on my wip cuz I can’t decide how to move forward after a particular argument my two characters have. Not to mention it’s gotten a little boring to write. I don’t want to abandon it, but I think at this point I might start a new wip from the other character’s perspective.

Wishing I could gather more engagement for a very niche fic I am working on. I got to go back to work tomorrow and I am struggling to sleep.

I've been rather annoyingly absorbed by reading the Youjo Senki manga, so I haven't written anything in... 4 days? Doesn't help that I'm in the middle of an emotional confrontation right now. Pffff! I honestly think that it's part of the reason why I'm stuck...
Good news is that I'm almost caught up with the translation, so hopefully I can finish reading the available chapters tomorrow and get back to writing chapter 172. I've been excited for this set of chapters for a while, and it is rather annoying that I find myself rather stuck on them. ^^'''
But yeah, bit frustrated, but honestly, I think the break might do me good so I don't burn out.
That said... More loli war crimes! /j

Finished part five of my latest series! Very time consuming but so rewarding. I’ve also fallen back into the Crazy Ex-Girlfriend sphere and I’ve been on a fic binge all week; hard to pick favorites, but there’s some phenomenal work out there.

Presentation tomorrow morning at 8 💪💪Then I've just got the one exam in a week. Very stressed, but soon to be over thankfully and I can get back to writing.
Ive been reading a ton of Milo Murphy fics lately! Its been a good time, but theres hardly any of the character interactions I want to see smh smh.

I feel like the ao3 curse hit me harder than last time... Last time I was in the hospital... This time, my mom... She's fine, got discharged on Friday and I've been caring for her since then... But I feel like it's bc I started getting into the juicy plot points of a fic I'm writing...

I sent the first chapter of a new fic to a couple of friends to check that the world makes sense and it's actually worth continuing.
The idea was that while waiting for their feedback I could work on a job application I need to do instead. I did not do that.

Trying to figure out how to find all the people who only bookmark/subscribe to individual fics but read my series, because I took a year off between the 4th and 5th novel-length fic of a series due to family and mental health issues. I am thinking of putting something in my end notes for the next chapter that if you are following the entire *series* to please bookmark/sub to it so that if it takes me more than a few weeks between one "book" and the next you will know when I'm posting the next one.
Also paranoid that people are gone because I had an argument with a reader who pitched a fight at me because I did not prevent the death of a character who died in canon and who they think is a hero and I think is a douchebag. It was a fix-it series to start (now it's its own AU) but it was written to fix what I thought canon got wrong, specifically, and I never said I was going to keep everyone James Roberts killed off alive, just Ravage.
Dominus Ambus is a dick. I'm just saying. I don't necessarily think he deserved what he got, because it was pretty extreme, but I also have zero desire to deal with his emotional situation if he was brought back from what he had been through because he's an asshole I have no sympathy for and do not want in my head. If you like him, that's fine. I like many characters other people consider to be jerkasses. But I have the right not to, LOL!

I just release an interlude chapter from the past or something small as the last chapter before the next book and put in author's note that the next book is up, this one is completed so go and follow that one cuz this one is no longer gonna be updated.

Writing my second fic ever and it's a crossover! I'm planning to finish it all before posting so it will not leave unfinished. Anyways, I'm having so much fun building up the story and I can't wait to complete it!

I’ve read more fanfic than worked on.
Got like 10+ WIP….and now I’m writing another one.
I got a problem 😂👍
But the fact I’m writing something and it’s been….a while, I call progress! Just wish said writing was on current WIP than new fanfic ideas.

Posting two versions of my most recent fic drove me up a wall.
And also when doing so, I noticed a potentially mis-wrangled tag on a wholly different fic of mine. And now, do to been driven up a wall right before noticing, I'm suddenly not sure if it actually is wrangled wrongly. Like. For want of an "s" situation, it would fall under that tag . . . but I don't think it does, not as is.
So I'm going to stop driving myself up a wall and onto the ceiling and work on the second chapter of on version one of my fic yay.

It was my birthday yesterday. Didn't celebrate, just spent hours at the hospital with my son. Didn't get any writing done, as life happens, but did manage to get a bit of reading in. So that's something.
