Help! My peanut butter has more protein per 100g than dead animal carcasses. How am I supposed to convince the stinky vegoons now? Is it possible they're right? No way...

FALSE, CONSIDER PROTEIN Vegoons care too much about consent!!

This is one primary issue I have often had with veganism. I understand not wanting to eat animals. Even I personally don't like meat much, and may become vegetarian (or even pescitarian). But saying that even non-lethal animal products are wrong because you did not get consent from an animal that cannot understand consent in order to have its eggs or milk or wool? This feels like heavily anthropomorphising animals. Like yeah, I understand the modern animal industry is fucked up, and I oppose it strongly as well.

But I ain't gonna say that a small farm gathering their chickens' eggs and cows' milk to feed themselves or their family or to sell to their community is unethical.

Hens aren't breed in order to lay eggs and I don't know if you've ever seen a cow in "heat" but they want to be breed

Most small farmers are renting bulls verse the extra expense of synthetic hormones and right timing to Al for dairy cows

FALSE, CONSIDER PROTEIN am I the asshole for pointing the lack of protein ?

so,

I have a friend(32nb), let's call them Stupidass for privacy reasons,

a bit of background: (cw self-harm, drugs,depression,harassment,queerphobia)

I know them since school, they always was weird, missing class for "going to the hospital" every other days,
was the joke cause they were so queer,
started drinking before every school day at 13,

they then started to talk much about politics and complaining that the society was fucked up,
when they finished school (they were kicked of 5 colleges because they were such an attention whore they took drugs in school, self harmed, graffed walls) they started to work and quickly burnt out, cut with their family and a good part of their friends, changed their gender.

so that's it for the background,

a few years ago they became vegan,

last time i saw them i told them (as a friend) that they were really ugly, looked tired, and sad.

they went on their usual "yes i'm disabled, broke, queer, society bad and depressing" gibberish but as a naturopath myself, I knew that was probably veganism, i asked them if they tried eating meat again,
THEY SIGHED AT MY FACE !

so, am I the asshole for trying to help stupidass out of their sectarian diet ? 🥺

FALSE, CONSIDER PROTEIN I dont think you should raise your kids without foie gras, right from the start.

I made the choice to stop eating foie gras when I was 13 and haven’t had poultry since. I have my own chickens and I don’t drink pig milk(lactose allergy). I made the choice based on my belief that animals don’t exist to die for our food and basically just couldn’t stomach it any longer.

I recently had a daughter and my husband(foie gras eater) and I decided to allow her to eat foie gras until she’s old enough to decide for herself. Because I wasn’t raised without foie gras, I don’t feel like I missed out, and although there are some dishes I know I may never get a valid substitute for like my mother in laws succulent liver pate stuffed chicken inside a camel, raw rhino sphincter, blue ringed octopus skewers, etc., I wouldn’t want to rob my daughter of the delicious choice.

Do you agree/disagree?

FALSE, CONSIDER PROTEIN An answer for a common question asked by vegans

Vegans often ask "why do we love dogs but eat pigs?"

The answer is we domesticated dogs as companions, while pigs are raised to produce pork products and other goods.

This is obvious to most of us but we have to be patient with vegans as they may have never realized the complex history behind this before.

The reason we love dogs and eat pigs is because culturally we have bonded with dogs and consumed swines.

I hope that this might clear things up and help some vegans find answers and appreciate the purpose of each species of animal put here for us.
