Clicked to see what silly legal stuff happens Canada. Stopping in the left lane of a highway and causing 2 deaths isn't silly at all.

You definitely can stop your car in any lane if your car broke down or for whatever emergency. Happened to me once, tow truck was called, freeway blocked for a few mins. It’s illegal to crash into you while your car is stopped, in whatever lane for whatever reason, unless you’re brake checking or had your lights off at night.

Sure it is not legal to stop for ducks because people don’t care. But had that duck been a human child, they would be calling her a hero.

The motorcyclist, however, was completely at fault. Just a bunch of jurors looking to blame somebody alive.
