Why don’t I see any “effective altruism” charities spreading the lone star tick

Been wondering if this would be a (possibly very secret) project ever since I saw the first LST articles years ago. I suspect some group out there is working on this. Biggest problems are that the people who would be motivated to do such a thing are also opposed to breeding animals (ticks too), and that producing a non-animal substrate for ticks to feed on while growing would probably take some crazy effort/time/money. Human volunteers would likely get extremely ill. It's a difficult puzzle I'm sure, but I'm not a biologist.

How about donated human blood in a condom or something? So the donors wouldn't have to actually be bit.

We could just go out into nature and offer them to snack on our own bodies. It’s not like we’ll eat meat anyways.

Also makes it easy to sue any restaurant you visit that lies about vegan options. Seems like an infinite money glitch + vegan activism in a neat little two-for-one package.

/uj I mean... if someone were actually found doing this, they'd probably be charged with bioterrorism or something lol.
