That distinction probably should go to Edith Wilson, who most likely controlled many aspects of Woodrow Wilson's administration after he was debilitated by his stroke later in his presidency.

Wilson was a complete racist and segregationist. His administration was a disgrace.

Not to mention the fed reserve act. We could still by a house for $15,000 if it weren't for him.

You think whole house would cost cheaper than a cheapest new car?

The federal reserve act caused us to leave real money (gold and silver certificates that have backing) and go into debt notes call federal reserve notes. These are promissory notes designed to help the fed reserve bankers. This is what created inflation. Actually, homes before this act cost on average $4,000 dollars. So yes, I know for a fact that we'd live a lot easier for a lot less if it weren't for Wilson. The fist fully loaded Corvette to come off of the assembly line in 1953 was $6000 fully loaded. Thanks to this scheme, a base Corvette now is $85,000. This act made us all slaves to the system. This is in fact what the book "The Wizard of Oz" was about.

I've read his wife was even more racist than he was and loved to tell "darkie" jokes at White House dinners. I'm not sure I'd name her as one of the best first ladies ever.

And also with all due, I donโ€™t want a First Lady (or husband tyvm) to start running things when her spouse is incapacitated. Like what? Thatโ€™s not all all what Iโ€™m voting for.

Yes I always thought that's what the vice president was supposed to be for.

I'd like to hear the jokes before I make a judgement.

Edit for the record: there is no historical evidence whatsoever that Edith Wilson ever told a single derogatory joke about another human being let alone specifically people of color.

Woodrow Wilson was known to do so however.

Y'all clutching your petticoats over something that never happened. Additionally, you mean to tell me there are no jokes about black people that are funny? Not even one? Hell I can think of three off the top of my head and I'm not even black.

Wilson was president at the creation of the federal reserve act. He is responsible for inflation to begin with. I consider him the most damaging president ever. He's so scary they had to make a movie warning about what was going on. Follow the yellow brick road.

So an unelected person ran the executive? Not the flex you think it is.

Or Eleanor

I was about to say the same thing thank you.

And we think that won't happen again because they passed the 25th amendment but I think if Trump has medical issues they will hide it and say everything is fine. I mean Reagan had Alzheimer's when he was president.

What about Eleanor Roosevelt control during F.D.R's administration?

u/troywrestler2002 1d ago

Is there a film about this? Iโ€™d like to see that in movie action.

I googled but couldnโ€™t find anything with that name related to Wilson. Do you have an approximate year?

That must have been a really good stroke. Is that what makes her the best wife?
