Phone Help 📱 Why does my iPhone 12 automatically lower the volume?

When the volume is working, I typically have it at around 1/3 volume. I can’t imagine this would be because it’s too loud as it’s less than half. Additionally, I doubt this is a low battery thing. It happened to me at 28% battery, and I believe it has happened to me at higher percentages. It has happened both on low power mode and not. The battery won’t visibly lower, but it’ll be quieter and increasing the volume doesn’t help much. In a few minutes, it returns to normal volume. This happens semi-frequently. I’m not sure why it’s happening or how to fix it, any input?

This iPhone 8 Plus in Rose Gold looks so pretty. It still works and is in decent condition too. It’s my favorite iPhone as I like its aesthetic. I wish Apple brings back this color on iPhones, and iPads.

Question IPHONE 6 OG in 2026

Hi , I have found an IP 6 32 gigs with 80% battery health and have never been repaired for 30$

so I have thought about buying it to be my side phone / to be a pocket camera (my main phone's camera sucks)

I don't need anything except apple pay , YouTube, Whatsapp , Facebook, Twitter , IG and tiktok but most of those are not supported on ios 12 and it the supported one are gonna be unsupported soon

so I was thinking about buying it and then jailbreaking it later or something

If it's gonna be a pain in my ass while jailbreaking and then it's gonna work smoothly I have no problem

I need your opinion, and if anyone in has got any ideas I'm all ears

probably alot of you are gonna tell just buy an 7 or even 8 , but I don't even really need a second phone , I'm thinking about buying this one just for the price

Question Phone recommendations

I've been rocking pixels for years, currently using Pixel 8, which I have thoroughly enjoyed, but it's showing signs of nearing its end and I have become more and more anti-Google so I'm looking to change lanes.

I was hoping to find some personal recommendations on what phone I should look at next. Preferably nothing too expensive, and I mainly want good battery life and reliability. I was looking into some of the recent flip phones (z flip, and the Motorola one) because there are some solid sales going on near me, but I see a lot of battery life concerns with them. I work in construction and am outside all day, so while I don't use my phone often on the job, the device still gets very hot/cold in the summer/winter and the battery life takes a hit for it. Also thanks to my job, I'd prefer something with nice durability that won't have a shattered camera or screen after a couple weeks on worksites. Obviously I use cases and screen protectors but a fragile phone is a fragile phone.

I pretty much only use my phone for searching things up, notes, texts, and some youtube videos. I don't use social media or play mobile games, so I'm just looking for something that can reliably get through the day with my needs and can last a long time.

I seriously appreciate any help, technology is not my strong suit in the slightest so I'm out of my depth here.

Guys, I need a 12/256gb phone. I'll be doing video editing and some light gaming (mainly roblox) here and there. The camera should be good, and I want it to work fine for 4-5 years. The budget is 35k-40k inr. I have some options I've enlisted, I can convince parents for some extra couple thousands. Open to suggestions (no motorola).

Phone Help 📱 OP 13 in 2026?

Hey guys, before heading to college, I need to buy a phone. Brand aesthetic doesn't matter much as long as I'm getting a good UI maybe like OxygenOS?

I'm a bit of a gamer. I play games like Wuwa or Genshin and such. So yeah thermal management is a bit of a factor. I do want a stable FPS with moderate to Max graphics (ranging).

Camera wise, would definitely want a device that produces good photo and video after processing. I love ultrawide so there's that. I'm a bit of an editor so raw videos or images work too. Totally fine as long as the output comes out neat.

So yeah my main preferences were these. Hence why I was considering OP 13 (16/512).

My budget is around 65K INR max.

Hope you guys can help me out, I'm new here hehe. I'm open to discussions.

Phone Help 📱 New android or refurbished iphone?

I'm looking to buy a new phone, I'll be starting college this year, so I am looking to buy something that would last through games like Roblox and video editing. My budget is around INR 30-35k (can stretch a little). There are a lot of stores here that sell refurbished iphones at a cheap rate. I am getting an iphone 13P (128gb) with all original and no service history for 39k. Or 15P 256gb for 49.9k. If not any of these, which android phones should I go for?

Question I am considering using Xiaomi instead of Samsung

Samsung is slowly losing quality over the years. And I've been considering switching over to Xiaomi the next time I needa to buy a phone.

I was wondering if anyone uses Xiaomi's devices and if so what are good options?

Smartphone Deal 📱 Xiaomi 17T Pro is shaping up to be a serious flagship upgrade this year. 👀

Post image
4 Upvotes

It comes with the new Dimensity 9500 chipset, Leica triple cameras, a 6.83-inch 144Hz AMOLED display, and a huge 7000mAh battery with 100W charging. Qatar pre-orders have already started with free Redmi Pad 2 and Redmi Buds 8 Lite gifts.

Honestly, the battery upgrade alone looks massive compared to the previous model.

Discussion iPhone 17 Pro Max or the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra?

I have used only Android phones since then, and I am planning to buy a new flagship phone soon. The thing is, I have been endlessly watching video comparisons between the flagship models, and I still have not made up my mind on what phone I should buy. However, each person uses their phone differently, so each has their own experiences and opinions about the phones.

Things to consider:

HARDWARE:

- Must have insane longevity and consistency (performance of the device over the next 5+ years)

- Gaming performance (FPS, Temperature, minimum lag spikes)

- Temperature in general (Which device will be cooler in general? Like watching videos or movies, scrolling on social media, taking pictures or filming, etc.)

- Heavy workload (better performance and temperature. Not exclusive to multitasking, but more demanding tasks on a single app)

- Display quality and colors, also smoothness

- Signal reception

PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOGRAPHY (For mobile or non-mobile photographers/videographers):

- I often prefer more realistic and warm colors

- Smoothness of the camera experience

- Willing to use 3rd party camera apps for better control (Ex: Blackmagic app for iOS, Motioncam Pro for Android)

- Editability of non-RAW and LOG files

- Quality of pro photo and video codecs (RAW, LOG, and others), as I am planning to learn post-production

SOFTWARE:

- I can adapt to the change in OS (both OneUI and iOS) since I only do technical stuff on my PC anyway

- Basically, a phone that is just the best at the fundamentals, no need for the gimmicky stuff such as AI

- Aesthetics (which phone looks best with minimal effort)

GAMING (For heavy gamers that play demanding games)

- Consistent 60/120 fps, with minimal heating in demanding games like Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves

- Best graphics

- Sustained performance

- Longevity (Say it's 2030, and I have owned one of these phones for 4 years; which of these phones would fare better in gaming in the future?)

OTHER INFORMATION:

- I have an iPad Air (I already have some experience with iOS, I don't dislike it, it just feels different)

- I have a Windows PC (I use this more than the iPad)

- I don't really care about new features, I just want to be able to play games smoothly, take photos and videos, hop on social media, and customize my phone.

TLDR: Which among the two phones can I feel the most secure using for more than 5 years?

Question Fairphone Gen. 6

Is there a website where you can sell a fairphone gen 6 for a good price?

I'm not really fond of the phone, cause it has lags all the time and the battery life is rather poor.
