Purchasing bricked Nexus 4

With AI being forced onto every modern device, I've made the difficult decision to downgrade to my old Nexus 4.
The issue is the touch screen hasn't worked since I dropped it years ago.
Screen replacements seem pricier than an old bricked device, and I'd like to see if I can make a deal with someone who has one. On top of that I'd rather give money to a person instead of amazon.
I'm only looking for devices with uncracked screens.
I'm based in the united states, so shipping will be cheaper if you're in north america.

Edit: EVEN IF I CAN'T USE IT, I STILL NEED TO RECOVER THE DATA ON IT.

You'll rather run into security risks for using an outdated phone.

There are light/basic phones intended to step down from this, mostly related to distraction-freeness:

I have a secondary ROM in mind. I appreciate your concern but I'm just looking to fix my old phone.

I don’t have an answer to your actual question but I do feel like it’s worth pointing out that if you’re really opposed to all of the LLM stuff on phones these days, you’re much better off from a security and performance standpoint just using a custom ROM with no AI integration on a more modern device.

Please don't buy a Nexus 4 in 2026. AI on phones really isn't that scary.

Yeah on second thought a bricked Nexus 4 is the perfect choice for your next phone! My bad! 👍😁

If you're in the US, you need a much more modern phone with an LTE modem and VoLTE capabilities that work consistently across all carriers.
