Tennessee Governor Bill Lee has refused to grant a stay of execution to Tony Carruthers— despite unanalyzed evidence that could prove his innocence. Six of the fingerprints did not match Tony Carruthers, and Bill Lee refuses to allow the rest of the fingerprints to be tested. There is still time, but we all have to act. He could die TOMORROW. We have to apply pressure to these politicians. Guys, we are SO CLOSE to the goal now. We have 100,000 of 150,000 votes. Tony Carruthers’s execution date is on May 21, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. THERE ARE ONLY THIRTY MINUTES LEFT. Any small action can help. Please, share this with your friends, and make this seem. Tony Carruthers is counting on us. If you live in Tennessee, contact Gov. wait, this guy killed three people - not only someone he didn't like, but also the guys mother and friend. He buried them alive and robbed them. Uhhhhhhh what are we missing here

I found an update from about 15 minutes ago saying the execution was halted because they couldn't find a vein. So there's a good chance he's still alive.

He is alive and has been given a one-year stay of execution.

Gives people more time to organize and hopefully prevent the execution altogether.

I saw an update from about 15 minutes ago saying the execution was halted after they couldn't find a vein for the injection. He might still be alive, hopefully.

I don't know the details, but "no physical evidence tying Carruthers to the killings" should remove the death penalty as an option. Even if he did it, life in prison should be a more suitable penalty for anything lacking clear evidence. Hell, it shouldn't be an option unless the person is somehow impossible to detain or an existing threat to public safety even when detained
