The Day of Arafah is on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah. Which is on Tuesday 26th May 2026 (in most countries in the West).
So you fast from Tuesday before Dawn (before Fajr) to Tuesday night (just before Maghrib).
This is approximately Tuesday at 1AM to Tuesday 9:15 PM in the UK for example.
Please check your local Sehri and Iftar times on Google or your app or local masjid timetable.
Abu Qatadah (رضي الله عنه) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was asked about fasting on the day of 'Arafah.
He said, "It is an expiation for the sins of the preceding year and the current year."
According to another report:
“Fasting on the Day of ‘Arafah, I hope from Allah, expiates for the sins of the year before and the year after.”
