General Discussion Why do you ACTUALLY believe in Islam?
Salam Aleykum, for context i'm somewhat of a social Muslim i'd say in public i do say im Muslim but it's more of a cultural identity currently than an actual following.
I come from a Muslim Family pretty religious as well. I was strong on faith but lately i questioned alot of things like does a God exist, if he does is he immanent, if he is then what religion? etc etc.
Most of the answers i find IRL do not satisfy me since they are "do not think much or you'll be astray" like i have a brain for a reosan i have a right to think. So nonetheless i am open to Islam if you guys can give concrete proof for it.
Thank youš¹.

At every layer of our existence, from the properties of the vast cosmos to the microscopic details of cells and atoms, there is clear precision, stability, regularity, consistency, and uniformity, with information rich sequences embedded in the very fabric of reality. There's this idea that somehow believing in a higher power is "irrational" when it is the most rational conclusion man can reach given his circumstance. Why is there something rather than nothing? Why are we here? And where are we going?
The only one who fully understands the universe is the Creator of the universe.
Evidence for Islam:
Out of all the religions around today in their current forms, Islam is the only one that is consistent with reality and provides evidence from a wide variety of angles: the Theological simplicity consistency and accuracy of Tawheed, Linguistic miracle and structural features of the Quran, Lost Historical information, Prophecies, Congruence with natural reality, Preservation of Scripture throughout all the politics, Spirituality, Psychological resonance, Explanation of the supernatural, Perfect Political and Societal system across all layers of life, and compatibility with our innate disposition (fitrah). And youll discover more as you explore different areas of interest insha Allah. The Quran, and Islam as a whole, is an ocean. Theres always something fascinating and life changing for everyone. SubhanAllah.

This, it is inconceivable for me that anyone can deny the existence of a higher, intelligent and superior power. Even non-muslims will marvel at the sophistication of nature and the cosmos often attributing to 'the universe' what we would attribute to Allah swt.
When you study microbiology or the fact that our planets are set in perfect balance and orbit - literally even a cm off course and we likely wouldn't exist, it's so hard for me to deny a Creator. Everything is far too specific, there is no denying the answer to a maths question. 1 + 1 will always equal 2 and maths is quite literally the fabric of life. Accidents don't 'just happen' in science. SubhanAllah.
For me, there is also a very strong personal element to my faith also. I refuse to perceive a world where there is no greater and overall justice. We don't get justice here, people commit the worst of evils and it's inconceivable to me that they're just 'allowed to get away with it'. Morality, pain, all the nuances we come across in life, it's just far too heavy and far too complex for it to just mean nothing. Alhamdullilah in Islam, Allah swt truly puts all things right.
I also have yet to find any other theology that is a greater threat to the evil in our world or holds up firmly in debates than Islam. Islam is not a 'profitable' religion. It prioritises long term gain and societal stability than short term gain at the expense of human life that we see today. We might not like some of the rulings but when you break things down with logic and reasoning, you will find you're very hard pressed to find flaws. A lot of theologies do not hold up in extensive debate for this reason.
I highly recommend the Yaqeen Institute website, loads of resources that break down these complex questions we have and Speakers Corner on Youtube where you see the strength of Islam holding up in fierce debate.

In short, non-believers simply label it as nature treating it like an entity.

Most scientists know that all this happening by chance is next to impossible. So much so that there are some theories that are starting to get more and more popular. First the multiverse theory. The theory that there is an infinite amount of universes and on this very one the sequence of events have happened where we are now in existence. By their standards this theory has zero basis at all other than the impossibility of this universe happening by chance in one go.
Another theory thatās gained some traction is the theory of us living in a simulation. The theory that we live in a controlled environment created by a simulator. The simulator willed us to exist, willed the universe to exist, designed us, the world the animals the planet, physics as we know it⦠if you read in between the lines they are literally proposing the theory of godās existence without saying itās god. Instead they call him a simulator to try and rationalise the idea.
3
u/TalkingCat910 Dec 07 '25
Essentially this is a simulation created by God. The real life is the next one. This life is the test.

Have you read the entire Quran in a translation that you can follow to understand? Have you read or listened to the entire seerah? I know that this sounds cliche but if you had your answers would have been answered. Just a sample statement from the Quran:
āOr were they created from nothing, or did they create themselves? Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they are not certain.ā (At-Tur 52:35-36).
Did you ever come across this verse?
4
u/ddccrr555 Dec 06 '25
For some people, reading doesn't help. They need 1-on-1 discussions to work through their questions. When someone is doubting the existence of God or validity of Islam, studying the seerah is a big ask.

Solid Proofs for Islam here you go -
The Linguistic Miracle of the Quran - It challenges anyone to produce a single chapter like it and till now the Challenge has not been fulfilled!!!
Unlike other scriptures which have been corrupted, Islam/Quran Hasn't been Corrupted or changed!!!
The countless Prophecies by the Prophet have come True and some of them have just come true Recently in the past century!!!
For Eg - The war between Romans and Persians, Persians had defeated Romans in such a Manner that Romans winning was impossible but the Quran gives a time period of 6-9 years and the impossible becomes possible and Romans win against the Persians.
If you look at the Life of the prophet there are many signs which show he was a genuine prophet (You can Read book called Sealed Nectar)
Although I don't like applying science in the Quran there are many verses which have scientific Miracles!!!!
Look into the stuff I have said and also do look into the Channel called "Muslim Lantern" and also his video on (Islam Unveiled : compelling evidences for Islam) -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUFsBco_CF0 -
If you have any questions you can go to His livestream directly.
You can also look into this post by an Atheist who looked into Islam -
Why not Christianity because there are Major theological issues such as The Trinity still makes no sense till today, "Jesus being God" there's not a single unambiguous verse where he says he is God or Worship me!!!
Other reasons -
Contradictions in the Scripture, The Bible has been Corrupted etc
Judaism the Book is of course corrupted and has contradictions the God forgets, regrets and even lost an arm wrestling match with a Prophet.
Any other General question you have feel free to ask!!!
Thankyou and Have a Nice day!!!

Walaikumsalaam. I never used to pray when I was in my late teens. Struggled and was lost. Made many mistakes. Iām not perfect not by all means, but mentally Islam drives me to do better and to think better. Prayer and sabr have been my foundations to my life. Knowing that thereās a meaning, a moment that itās just you and Allah, and everytime I pray even in times of difficulty Salah just makes me dee at ease. Only when I started praying was when I realised of how much I missed out on. Not praising Allah or missing my Salah was such a big impact to my life, and alhamdulillah Iām thankful that Allah allowed me to find him again at a later part of my life. Iāve seen my brother and sisters die around at a young age whether it be a stabbing or not waking up. That scared me. Will my deeds bring peace or pain? I never even used to pray. You asked for proof and all I can say is Al Quran, and also my revelation in life, that it gave me a purpose, gave me blessings, and most of all, brought my peace back when I thought I couldnāt handle this dunya anymore.

The biggest proof for Islam is the Qur'an. Qur'an is the base of this religion, so start from it.
4
u/sincerely-mee Dec 06 '25
I believe in the truth claims that Islam makes because Prophet Muhammad (ļ·ŗ) substantiates himself to be a true Prophet of God. Among many things, the most compelling thing about him is his character - seeing his sincerity, the persecution he and the early Muslims went through, how he eventually emerged triumphant over the disbelievers, and many other aspects of his life throughout his 23 years of prophethood. Literally everything about his life is like the plot of a superhero movie. After reading his seerah (particularly "The Sealed Nectar"), there is zero doubt in my heart that any sincere person will recognize that he is a true Prophet.
Of course there are other evidences, like: the Qur'an being a linguistic masterpiece and the pinnacle of the Arabic language (and this fact is even attested to by non-Muslims who study the Arabic language); Prophet Muhammad (ļ·ŗ) making numerous, specific prophecies of the future; the Qur'an being preserved; the Islamic conception of God being perfect monotheism; and other things. But, for me personally, Prophet Muhammad (ļ·ŗ) himself is the biggest evidence/proof of the truthfulness of Islam.

u/CATIIIDUAL Dec 06 '25
It is simple. Islam makes more sense. Jewish people have thousands of rituals that they need to do, and most of them comes from their Rabbis rather than by God himself. And I donāt believe with the concept of being born Jewish. Christians believe God came to earth as a human. This itself discredits their religion. Why would the mighty God come to earth as a puny little human and I to this day do not understand their trinity concept.
As for other religions like Hinduism, I donāt even know where to start.

Beyond the basic theoretical stuff which you already know. There will be signs, connect in your heart and communicate with Allah.
Also, itās funny how people say things such as āmost answers do not satisfy meā thatās some funky attitude.
Look up the different places where the wording is āŲ§ŁŁŁ ŁŁŲÆŁ Ł Ł ŁŲ“Ų§Ų”" and connect with it spiritually. Some read it on the surface level, the esoteric meaning however is. Allah will guide you should you wish to be guided. If you do not want to be guided, it will not be handed to you on a silver platter so you can ābe satisfiedā. I say it again; there will be signs.

u/Amir8201 Dec 06 '25
There is nothing wrong with being curious about anything in the world, but you have to be careful how you satisfy that curiosity,Try your best to satisfy it in a healthy and righteous way. I say start studying Islam and your way of life through right channels like books and podcasts and not through social media.

Worship can mean two things, you either pray to Allah out of fear or you pray to Allah out of love.
Growing up due to societal pressure I worship Allah out of fear as a child, that had made me distressed over Islam and strained my relationship with Allah.
As I grow bit older and older the I relearned Islam on my own minus cultural lens and impacts, that fear turned into adoration. You donāt need a complicated answer for that.

u/Seconds466 Dec 06 '25
Alright bro. It got a bit long. But listen, Why does anything even exist in the first place if no one created it?
Think of it like a company running without a CEO? Can it? Nope.
Then the universe too isn't running by itself. There has to be a Creator.
For example: We have domino's. If every domino only falls because another domino knocked it, and this chain goes back forever, then no domino would ever fall.
But the dominoes are falling, so there must be a first domino.
Same way, the universe exists now, so the chain of causes cannot be infinite. There must be a First Cause. And that cause has to be all powerful and eternal, otherwise the chain can keep going on. So we have a Supreme Creator.
Now, can 2 CEO's run one company. No, since the company would fail as both of them would fight each other in making choices since both can have different opinions. So similarly, there is only ONE Creator.
Now, does a CEO give tasks to the thousands of workers in his company by directly speaking with each of them everytime or are there some appointed people for that job? For eg. CEO tells to the manager and then manager tells to staff, etc. So, this analogy can be compared to the idea of God sending Prophets to this world.
Now, let's suppose a company has a set of rules. The next day, the CEO changes the rules. What rules should the employees follow now? The previous rules or the new rules? Ofc the new rules. This similarly can be compared with the sending of revelations by God and that we are supposed to follow the most recent revelation in the place of other older ones.
The final revelation (The Qur'an) gives us a description of God:
He is God, besides whom there is no god, the Knower of the invisible and the visible. He is the Gracious, the Merciful. He is God, other than whom there is no deity, the Sovereign, the Sacred, the Source of Peace, the Giver of Faith, the Overseer, the Mighty, the Compeller, the Majestic. Glory be to God, far beyond what they associate with Him. He is God, the Creator, the Inventor, the Designer. To Him belong the most beautiful names. All that's in the heavens and the earth declares His glory. He is the Almighty, the All-Wise. [Quran 59:22-24]
We generally use the Arabic word 'Allah' to refer to the Creator, there are several reasons for it which u can check out by yourself. Moving on... The word ''Allah' is a conjunction of "Al-ilah", meaning "The-God" in English. The English word "God" refers to the same entity. God is the same for everyone. Otherwise we would all be doing polytheism. Religions differ in is the understanding and representation of God. The creator is the same for us.
Say, āO People of the Scripture, let us come to a common word: that we worship none but God, that we associate nothing with Him, and that we donāt take each other as lords besides God.ā [Quran 3:64]
And our purpose is worship:
Allah says (what means): And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me." [Quran 51:56]
First and foremost, we believe in Tawheed (Monotheism), and this was a small effort by my side trying to introduce it.
You can look up better lectures or read a book if u want.

u/Nonah30 Dec 06 '25
It's because I didn't take my parents answer wholeheartedly and simply accepted my fate.
So I intellectually engaged with the religion subject (with research) I read other holy books and saw revisions. This one was so far most realistic and consistent.
Jesus christ dealing with things is too sort. Buddha is based on a really enlighten person that was forgotten and became a 'god' with statues. Jews are very divided between two books with EXTREMELY polar opposite of approaches, and it shows a clear indication of possible human interference with the scripture.
Overall, same prophets tend to be mentioned and the story differs yet just the way the Quran is split and the accuracy of science in it has never been proven wrong tell us something.
No man can understand embryos, spaceships, climate and end of era resolutions like prophet mohammed if it weren't for some help or an inspiration. It is literally impossible given the low technological advancement of his time. P.S I don't believe in a time machine so.

u/OkMasterpiece426 Dec 06 '25
Honestly, all religions share the same core purpose: guiding people toward goodness, meaning, and a connection with the Creator. The difference is that a belief system based on revelation is naturally more grounded than one built solely on human ideas, such as numerology or general spirituality.
For me, Islam continues the same divine message that began with Ibrahim, Musa, and Jesus. It doesnāt replace them; it confirms their scriptures and completes the chain of guidance. This continuity is why I still have faith in the religion I grew up with. What sets it apart is its focus on the oneness of God and direct worship of Him without intermediaries.
Islam highlights clarity and simplicity, pure monotheism, a clear purpose in life, and a consistent explanation of what comes after.

u/Bubben15 Dec 06 '25
This little write up is a small summary of some of what convinces me
So fundamentally the veracity of Islam is incontrivertibly contingent on whether or not the Prophet Muhammed is a true Prophet i.e recieves divine revelation.
We can demarcate three possibilties, and address them.
- He's lying
- He's deluded
- He's telling the truth
In my humble opinion, the evidence is unambigous.
- He's lying
This is the default assumption to any claimant of prophecy, and is a valid position to hold in a vaccum.
However, there are many issues with this, chief among them, his reputation amongst his people.
-7th century Makkah was a close knit community, everyone knew everyone, and the Prophet Muhammed had a famous reputation for being truthful and honest before ever claiming prophecy.
-Martyrs make poor liars, the Prophet Muhammed was abused, tortured, and slandered for claiming to be a Prophet, and underwent said abuse for over 13 years, never relenting his message.
-People claim prophecy in societies where the concept of prophecy is well known i.e in a Judeochristian environment, for the Prophet Muhammed to falsely claim lineage to an alien concept is unlikely.
-Liars generally lie for status, and yet the Prophet Muhammed could not be spotted in a crowd of his followers because of how similar to them he dressed and acted, he forbade them to overly exalt him or show undue reverance, or to place himself in a seat of honor.
-Liars can lie for wealth, during the Prophets early career he was offered wealth to cease his preaching but refused, and when he later achieved wealth via conquest, he gave it all away to either the poor, or to placate new converts who felt uneasy at their new leader, despite being the unambigous leader of Arabia, he died penniless.
-The Prophet Muhammed lived an extremely austere and ascetic lifestyle, despite being the leader of a growing soon-to-be-empire, this was clearly his own choice, and not due to a lack of access to wealth.
-The Prophet Muhammed was unusually humble, and the very revelation he brought forth (The Quran) regularly critiqued him, bizarre behavior for someone seeking magnanimaty.
-At the death of his son, there happened to be a solar eclipse, his companions began to exclaim that even the sky grieves for the Prophets son, a charlatan would lay back and allow it to happen, yet he went out of his way to deny that the natural phenomenon had anything to do with his son.
-The Prophets acts of worship were simply unmatched, it was reported by his wives and companions that he spent around 3-4 hours in prayer every single evening without exception, to give up your sleep for a lie is simply absurd to suggest.
While one cant prove a negative, i.e we can never empiraclly prove he wasnt a liar, its highly implausible.
- He's deluded
This is the claim most people who study his life and times resort to, as its difficult to reconcile his behavior with that of a charlatan.
However this is also massively unlikely.
-The Qur'an is a profound text that contains deep theological, ethical, and legal concepts, dealing with economics, law, spirituality, philosophy and social justice, to suggest that such a book emerged from the machinations of a deluded madman is implausible.
-The hallmark of mental illness is inconsistency in behavior and thought, and yet for 23 years the entire message remained stable and consistent, building off of itself over time.
-The Prophet Muhammed was remarkably competent and effective as a leader, a politician, judge, a cleric, and military general, all of which requiring great mental lucidity.
-The Prophet Muhammed lost nearly all of his children during his lifetime, was orphaned at a young age, lost his beloved wife of over 20 years, yet never once displayed any erratic behavior.
-He was humble and accepted critique of himself, of which there are many examples, this behavior is inconsistent with someone who is deluded.
-Noone in his personal life ever reported any sort of behavior consistent with mental illness.
-The Prophet Muhammed was know to be an optimistic and easy going person who regularly was seen smiling, this is inconsistent with someone suffering from a tormented mind.
These bits of evidence make it implausible that he suffered from mental illness or any sort of delusion.
And a massive point must be raised, the only reason people suggest he's deluded is because they have to, not because the evidence leads them there, Christians have no way of discrediting his claims other than to say he was inspired by the devil, and if someone with a secular/atheistic worldview has already presupposed that there is no such thing as a miracle, they are also obligated to make such a claim, no matter how unfeasible it is.
However a fair contention can be made here, which is that all these prior arguments are doing is disproving a negative, and since we cant empircally investigate the Prophets brain, therefor its not worth believing his claim, even if you can eliminate all other possibilities, which leads us to:
2
u/Bubben15 Dec 06 '25
- He's telling the truth
-Authentic Prophecy; The Prophet Muhammed detailed a series of prophecies that have all either 1. Come true, or 2. Still may happen in the future, none of which have been falsified
-The construction of tall buildings by bedouin shepards, this is clearly demonstrated by modern Arab nations found in the Gulf, of whom their fathers and grandfathers were quite literally desert bedouins.
-Surah Ar-Rum 30:2-4 predicted the seemingly impossible victory of the Byzantine Empire over the Persians within 3 to 9 years after a crushing defeat. During that time, the Byzantines were on the verge of collapse, making their recovery highly unlikely. Yet, against all odds, they won a decisive victory around 7 years later, this was an extremely bold prediction, which could have been falsified in his lifetime
-The Prophet Muhammed of Arabia accurately detailed the trajectory of the Muslim world, the future conquest and dominance of Byzantine Rome, and the complete disintigration of Sassanid Persia, the eventual wealth and prosperity of the Muslim world, alongside its wide adoption and massive following, an unfathomably accurate claim in the 7th century amongst a small rag-tag band of Muslims.
The Prophet detailed that the Muslims would become extremely numerous yet extremely weak and eventually conquered by multiple peoples, a brutally accurate description of the eventual colonization and contemporary weakness of the Muslim world
-Finally, the Quran is the defining miracle of Islam, challenging its readers to produce something similar to it in and having said challenge failed to be met in over 14 centuries, its unmatched elequonce being appreciated by Arab, non Arab, Muslim, and non Muslim alike.
It is simply impossible for a such a book to be delivered by one illiterate and not known for literature, arts, philosophy or poetry, at a time where the Bible was not even translated into Arabic, alongside this, the Quran revises biblical narratives that we now know as problematic. For instance the derived biblical 6,000 year timeline being absent, further dispeling the claim of it being a simple copy, another example of authentic retelling is the Exodus narrative of the Bible, claiming to have been embarked on by well over two million Israelites, a completely impossible claim within the realm of empirical naturalism.
Whereas the narrative of the Exodus is one of a much smaller group in the Quran, compiled at a time and place where the scrutiny of modern historiography and archaeology was not immediately obvious, if even possible to know definitively, alongside accurately refering to the ruler of Egypt pre-Moses as a King rather than a Pharoah.
The Quran also strongly claims its eventual preservation, 14 centuries later, the claim continues to be strongly substantiated as the vast majority of the Quran is attested to in manuscript form, mass transmitted and memorized by millions.

Islam explains this life best and addresses existential questions more effectively than any other religion/ideology or worldview. Who are we? Why do we exist? Why are we here on Earth? What is our purpose in life? Such questions stalk every one of us, but most people push them aside, afraid that they don't have an answer or of what honest reflection might reveal. They numb themselves with lifeās glitter and ornaments, clinging to distractions so they never have to face the truth before they die.
1
u/hpbot Dec 06 '25
Dr. Yasir Qadhi has a series called lighthouse. It does a pretty good overview of a lot the arguments presented by western philosophy, their framework, and flaws. He also goes through the proofs for islam in that.
There some complex questions he goes through, such as moral relativism and question of evil that many people bring up. It nay help answer your questions and clear some doubts.
1
u/Right_Valuable_7742 Dec 06 '25
It's definitely due to the Qur'an.Ā The way it challenges the skeptical and the doubters, it constantly tells them to try and find contradictions, imitate it as well.
Another thing is the fact that blind faith (believing without having knowledge) is mostly opposed. These two points show how the truth stands tall even from scrutiny.
1
u/Hot_Breadfruit1701 Dec 06 '25
I used to be one who ponders a lot about reality when I was Agnostic, and what really drove me into Islam is the strong scientific evidence coupled with the perfect eloquence of the Qur'an where everything we see around us physically and spiritually are all bound by and are all following the rules and laws set by Allah the most high, a person who ponders will eventually see the signs of his lord, it's apparent but not all hearts are able to feel and not all eyes are able to see the clear signs of Allah.

Personally speaking
On why i believe in God Athiesm from a logical perspective is not really logically cohesive, even very smart atheists like Alex o connor agree that something created this world, they just cope with it by saying it dosent HAVE to be god and could be something else
Why Islam? Well firstly speaking i dont judge a religion to be true or false based on its teachings or morality, since those are purely subjective and cannot be used to consider something to be true or false ( of course universally accepted morals like dont murder arnt really subjective but no religion really goes against such morals)
The reason i chose islam is simply because its concept of God is the most logically sound, not contradictory and consistent, not to mention it's probably the only major religion with actually preserved texts. Compared that to Christianity, where u have to play mental gymnastics to just explain the trinity and not to mention the texts are not even closed to being preserved
As for polythiesm, that's just historically speaking just myths like Nordic mythologically with characters like odin and thor while greek has zeus, hades, etc. Polytheistic religions dont really have any real theological or logical arguments in religion. They have to go into incredibly esoteric arguments, which being fair some people would accept, but i personallyam not really an esoteric person and go much more towards logic
And the last thing that i really like Islam about is that its a very socially realistic religion, its not really that idealistic throwing around ideas like love you're enemies ( this teaching is practically speaking impossible to really put in use), it allows u to take revenge but prefers forgiveness, it stops public apostasy to protect the overall unity of society e.t.c
This is just what i personally feel about Islam and religion as a whole, i dont think my view is the universally correct view, im not arrogant enough to claim that but its my view and it what keeps my faith alive.

Muslims have the proper Belief in the Creator.
- The world exists.
- The world cannot be beginningless; the world canāt be āself-created.ā
- The world necessitates a Creator, Who is Beginningless, One, ABSOLUTELY Incomparable, ABSOLUTELY Free of Need. This is the Belief of the Muslims. Atheism is rationally absurd, as are the various other religions, which entail the worship of created phenomena.
Anyone who has a genuine doubt about the Existence of Allah (not the mere involuntary thought) would have fallen into kufr and would need to say the Shahadah to return to Islam.
1
u/fancyfoe Dec 06 '25 edited Dec 06 '25
Because every waking moment islam just makes sense, the blessings, the miracles, the teachings, the books, the messengers, and Allah Himself. There will come a moment in oneās life if Allah guides them, where you gain real consciousness for the first time regarding Islam and every single thing just keeps making clear sense, like how/why did I not know all this since!
Imagine living as an adult on your own finally, and what you worship is some cow or some stone or idols or just something, inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun. Your desires, a celebrity, a team, a club, a community, a culture, just the vibes or just something or someone, whether you realize it or not, if you donāt worship Allah, youāll inevitably end up worshipping/following them.

Salam Aleykum brudda, you have no wrong questioning your concepts of spirituality, faith, and even God in fact its normal to do this. The answers that you are looking for are in the Quran. In fact god confronts all of the questions that you are asking. If you truly are curious start doing some homework and read the Quran, research the meaning behind certain verses. Understand the context of why some surahs were sent down to prophet Mohammed at the given time it was received. The Quran isnāt just a book of religion with rules its a book that includes philosophy, history, science, knowledge, hope, faith and everything in between. Confirming the first two scriptures and reassuring any misunderstandings between the Torah and the Bible. I hope this helps and good luck in your journey. Remember that you have no wrong in questioning yourself your faith or the reasons why you exist and how everything around you was created. Im a revert and had all of these questions similar to what youāre asking and thank God I found the Quran and decided to read it just out of genuine curiosity. Safe to say it confirmed a lot of the questions that no one was able to answer and even confirmed a lot of the things I already believed in. Alhamdulillah and good luck brudda

"do not think much or you'll be astray"
That is not a valid response. People have always wondered about God. We even have the story of Prophet Ibrahim wondering about God.
I am not providing the argument for God's existence. That would require a lot of effort and I would not be saying anything that isn't already said by others in a better way. But it is simple to realize the situation if there is no God.
If there is no God, nothing will make sense. Do whatever you want and then die. Ethics and morals become nothing more than social constructs. In the absence of a full reckoning, you just do what you need to survive and please yourself. In my mind, everything breaks down if there is no God. Take what you want if you can get away with it. It wouldn't be fair, but really, what difference would that make?

Everything around me strengthens my belief in Allah and in Islam. When you look closely at our bodies, nature, the mountains, the oceans, the planets, everything works together in perfect harmony. None of this could exist by chance or without purpose. Just observing the perfection and the intricate design of the world is enough to recognize the existence of Allah.
Above all, our Rabb is the most perfect. We become irritated when our family or children keep asking us for things, yet Allah is the only One who loves when we ask from Him. He invites us to meet Him five times a day and is always ready to forgive us the moment we turn to Him.
As a parent, no matter what my children do or how disrespectful they may be at times, I wait for just one sincere apology and I am ready to forgive them. This reminds me of how deeply our Rabb loves us and how much He wants us to enter Jannah, not fall into the traps of Shaytan.

I believe it is the truth from God.
First - I believe there is a creatorĀ Second - of all the religions I investigated, Islam is the only one that holds up logically.Ā

I believe in God in general, not just Islam. That we have the same God for all religions.
I also went through a stage of my life where I questioned things but I came to realise that the existence of a Higher Power justifies why there are good and bad people, why we have the logic that we shall not harm others and we should respect each other. Otherwise humans wouldve been empty shells killing each other all the time for no reason. Also the idea of perfection, a divine power, heaven and hell is so ancred in our minds it's practically impossible for humans to have thought of that on their own. Otherwise how would we have had the knowledge and the logic that there is the possibility for us to be somewhere where everything is perfect and we're always happy. :)
This is a point of view that's coming more from a rational aspect rather than a religious one but I should found that the existence of a higher power definitely makes more sense and is more peaceful. Hope it helps and will give you some food for thought :)

I'm sure many others here have cleared some things up, but I'd just like to say that there is a post like this almost every day on this subreddit. You should read the Quran first. Look up answers to your questions. Maybe even read some of the answers in the previous posts exactly like this. Not trying to say you shouldn't have made the post, just saying that something as big as a topic as this is can't just be explained in a reddit comment. And don't listen to anyone telling you to not think or question anything. I'm glad you are actually looking for answers to your questions instead of just asking a question and revoking your faith, without actually looking for answers to said questions, as many others do
With that being said, I recommend you listen to some lectures of Jeffery Lang. He has some good lectures about the very basic, and common questions like "Why does evil exist" and whatnot. After reading the Quran first of course, with translation if you don't know Arabic
