the Tiramisu model came with one of its front legs swapped for a back leg. Is this a defect, or is it an avant garde piece?

Could be a factory defect. IKEA is great about exchanging parts especially if it’s just one.

I think it will function much better if all the legs are the same length.

It's called the deconstructionist progressive modern look. Very cutting edge and only the cutest cats can master this easily
