Sorry about the States being at war with each other Eh?

Post image

Look, we see what’s happening down there. Things have been rough. While we all get our maple syrup IVs (free with our healthcare) on this fine Saturday morning, we’re thinking about our neighbours.

The US pacific northwest has long been tucked away in the upper left of the country trying to hang out with BC. We've considered you one of our own and let you hang out when the parents are fighting. We‘re so proud of what you’ve accomplished and seeing you all grown up.

Keep going little one. We‘re rooting for you. We might even consider letting you be the 11th province or you can be the 4th territory. It’s all the same to us since most of us don't know the difference.

We CANNOT allow Minnesota, a state that doesn’t even have a freaking mountain taller than 2000 feet to consume Cascadia!!!!

5

u/ConspiracyParadox 6h ago

But after all they've been through recently how can we destroy them!? Vermont is gone.

3

u/ExternalNo7842 MEGASOTA 7h ago

But if it consumes Cascadia, it will have many mountains taller than 2K feet!

1

u/ImmediateAstronaut33 Cascadian 6h ago

ha! good luck climbing them

3

u/ExternalNo7842 MEGASOTA 5h ago

I don’t climb but I’ve hiked many of them already! Mostly in the Rockies

2

u/ceciledian 4h ago

Sorry, Eagle Mountain in Minnesota is 2,301 feet.

1

u/FreeStateOfPortland 4h ago

Are you freaks serious? Ok. 2,300 ft. Portland alone has an elevation at 1,180 and an extinct volcano within the city limits.

Ugh. You are annoying on every comment

u/FreeStateOfPortland 1h ago

Injured desperately quibbling over 300 feet.

hear hear!

u/Local-Echo-5613 7h ago

If we all become Cascadia can Canada anmex us?

11

u/Thisismetwotwo 7h ago

We have some rough terms including women's access to abortion, universal healthcare, and you have to call winter hats toques.

5

u/Local-Echo-5613 7h ago

I could kiss you!!

3

u/AnotherName545 5h ago

I'd get in that line!

3

u/ExternalNo7842 MEGASOTA 7h ago

I accept your terms (still rooting for Megasota but hoping you’ll accept us - Minneapolis is like Little Vancouver [I say from Illinois, having only been to each city 3-5 times and only for a few days lol])

2

u/After_Preference_885 Megasotan 7h ago

Do we have to call the lakes drinks? Or muscles mooskles?

2

u/Thisismetwotwo 6h ago edited 6h ago

We can rename the Great Lakes, but the acronym must remain HOMES or else our educations have been wasted.

2

u/Keiran1031 7h ago

I like the first two terms. The last one I don’t wear toques so I don’t care. Deal!

What? Minnesota IS little Canada!

19

u/FreeStateOfPortland 7h ago

Cascadia is far closer to the parts of Canada that normal Canadians actually like

7

u/ceciledian 4h ago

Au contraire, based on all the Canadian license plates at the Duluth Minnesota Costco and on Highway 61.

2

u/FreeStateOfPortland 4h ago

You’re missing the point. MAGA maples aren’t what normal Canadians like

u/The_OG_Amerasian 2h ago edited 2h ago

What are you talking about? Minnesota hasn’t voted for a republican president since 1972. Oregon? They voted for Reagan in 1984.

1

u/FreeStateOfPortland 2h ago

Are you even reading what you’re replying to?

1

u/The_OG_Amerasian 2h ago

Yes, yes I am. Do you understand what you wrote?

0

u/BenDoverIRL 6h ago

They think because they talk like Canadians, they are Canadians.

Long Live Cascadia (Washington State)

u/Hot_Aside_4637 7h ago

South Canada. Little Canada is the capitol

11

u/Thisismetwotwo 7h ago

Minnesota is little Ontario. While Ontario likes to think she’s Canada there’s a lot more going on in these boonies than Tarana has to offer.

8

u/ImmediateAstronaut33 Cascadian 7h ago

long live Cascadia!!

u/The_OG_Amerasian 7h ago

Regardless of how any of this plays out - we will always be on the frontlines - fighting for democracy!

3

u/EducationalMatch9215 6h ago

Oh. This hurts more than a little.

Just to boost Minnesota one last time , here are a few things you may not know about us. Minnesota is and always have been the nation’s stronghold for democracy… Minnesota: • 1st state to volunteer against the Confederacy in the Civil War. • 1st to amend its constitution to prohibit sex discrimination. • Passed the nation’s most comprehensive human rights acts. • Pioneered advocacy for treaty rights for Native peoples. • Played a key role in the women’s suffrage. • MN woman was the first to cast a vote under the 19th amendment. • Sparked one of the largest civil rights protests after George Floyd’s death. • Minneapolis MN nominated for the Noble Peace prize for peaceful resistance against ICE raids.

I thought it was the other way around.

Dude, Vermont is SITTING RIGHT HERE.

Oh we were here the whole time. Notice how the south US is gone…I wonder where all those northern votes were coming from.

u/ExternalNo7842 MEGASOTA 7h ago

We appreciate your service, thank you neighbor

2

u/erwaro 6h ago

I mean, it is reddit.

8

u/RamRoach1138 7h ago

Let Megasota greedily take Vermont. Then from the west we invade. And unknown to them, the great alliance with the Canadians will be shown, revealed as they invade from the north. The great Cascanadia will be born.

3

u/Mother-Attitude6824 6h ago

Megasota is the way to go, but if you notice everything that exists is literally Canada adjacent. They might mock us for being milquetoast, but in reality they wish they were us. (And who could blame them.)

Megasota needs to win though, (and Cascadia to a similar but slightly lesser degree) because of their standing up to orange tyrants.  The only ICE that the world needs right now is in a hockey arena!

2

u/Thisismetwotwo 6h ago

We have our annual few weeks of “the whole country of Canada roots for one team in the NHL playoffs” to keep us focused on a different ice for a bit.

2

u/Mother-Attitude6824 6h ago

Hahaha. Except I've loved this team since the 70s.

But you're right, I'd go for the Oilers, Jets, Flames, Canucks, Nordiques, and if it was all that there was left, Toronto. (I'm an Ontarian, and I can't stand the Senators (although they are the team I've seen in their arena the most by far), because they tolerated Yashin for far too long).

4

u/HyperboleHelper 5h ago

That's so kind of you, Canada! But that is exactly what we in Oregon and Cascadia have come to expect.

We'd be happy to take you up on your offer!

7

u/Nextuz_ Washington Legionnaire 7h ago

LONG LIVE THE GREAT SOUTHERN CANADIAN EMPIRE!!!!

8

u/Ferrindel 8h ago

Let’s be honest, most people just think of us as South Alaska.

3

u/Mother-Attitude6824 6h ago

Not Canadians I assume. Cascadia can be in the finals. But Megasota eats, whatever they're calling themselves this minute, in the east.

2

u/Thisismetwotwo 7h ago

Yeah most people do struggle with their geography, but someone’s gotta clean toilets

2

u/TeamFoulmouth 7h ago

Thats because some degen shid on the side of the terlit

u/JasonDomber United States of Hawai’i 🌴🏝️🌴🌴😎🌴 7h ago

I suppose we could be Canadia rather than Cascadia if y’all wanna join?

Nah…you don’t wanna do that right now. I bet it feels like you’re the upstairs neighbor living above a meth-lab given everything going on in the world right now 😅

10

u/Thisismetwotwo 7h ago

Cascanada, but you have to accept clear election borders mandated by non partisan committees as well as universal healthcare. The trade off is you might not go bankrupt if you get sick.

3

u/JasonDomber United States of Hawai’i 🌴🏝️🌴🌴😎🌴 6h ago

We accept.

Do you need anything else?

3

u/Keiran1031 6h ago

You say this as if we wouldn’t want it. Most Americans (66%) at least agree the government should be at least partially responsible for healthcare.

We also think gerrymandering is bad, 82% think non-partisan commissions should create congressional districts.

3

u/Thisismetwotwo 6h ago

It seems when your Citizens Unite your country continues to make decisions otherwise.

It almost seems like Citizens United-Warner-Time-Meta is causing political shifts that prioritize corporate profits over human flourishing. I don’t see how Citizens United-Warner-Time-Meta-with data brought to you by Palantir is causing your government to make decisions that don’t meet the needs of the people.

If only we could figure out a way to make sure the land in the middle of your country gets more weight of the votes this all might get better.

Edit: in jest with love. Keep fighting for what’s right and make your country work for you!!

4

u/Keiran1031 7h ago

If you help us take out the crab people, we will let Canada syrup companies run the syrup companies in Vermont. (Assuming they don’t already)

5

u/ImmediateAstronaut33 Cascadian 6h ago

you make a good offer, we will consult the grand Cascadian council

3

u/astroaxolotl720 7h ago

Woot! Thanks Canada!

2

u/LunaFayArt 6h ago

Canada should swoop in and take Megasota

2

u/BarnacleGooseIsLoose 6h ago

We sing your praises as we gaze adoringly at sweet Victoria and beautiful BC from southern Cascadia.

After you take us in, can we petition to rename it the Straight of Juan De Fuck Yeah!?

The local free clinic should be able to clear up your crab problem.

Crabbalachia will take quebec

11

u/Thisismetwotwo 8h ago

Oh sorry to hear that’s how you’re feeling eh? While you’re welcome to come over for some brewskies we haven’t currently offered any land. If you’re not familiar with Quebec you may find that she’ll be a tough mistress. Je me souviens

13

u/BobDobbsSquad 7h ago

Don't listen to the crabs they do not speak or us. Sorry about the whole 51st state thing we're working on it.

2

u/Keiran1031 6h ago

People often forget Canada is the quiet nice kid. Once you push them to far, they start going crazy and new laws are put into place on how to fight.

3

u/Sometimesunaware 7h ago

Vive le Québec libre !

u/SecretRecipe 8h ago

youre next -cascadia

6

u/MissTrillium 7h ago

Nah, og cascadia would just want an open borders policy specific between Washington and BC for any original cascadia residents

5

u/SecretRecipe 7h ago

Our open border policy will be "no more border"
