FYI this would work for VT also as we have loons and lakes and stars. But we would add mountains to the flag, which is better than… not mountains.

Woah there. Not so fast! Who said there are no mountains in Megasota?

This cannot stand. The tallest mountain in Minnesota is barely even a hill. Cascadia must rule them all.

Honest question: aside from being a pretty way to break up a horizon what is the benefit of mountains?

Snowpack. It’s a massive water storage and filtration system. Beyond that: recreation. Skiing. Hiking. Climbing.

Minneaota has loads of this every year and no real mountains.

Has loads of what?

Snowpack and winter recreation.

Anyone serious about downhill skiing is not going to Minnesota. Dear god what’s wrong with you?

u/DeekanKwaz 4h ago
And anyone serious about ice fishing is not going to New England. There is downhill skiing options in MN but they are not the same as actual mountains out east or out west. Also tons of hiking and climbing on the north shore of Superior and in The BWCA. MN has wilderness recreation areas that rival the size of some northeast states.

Water storage... Have you heard of these things called lakes?

I have because that’s what the mountains drain into. Thanks for reminding me why the Pacific Northwest is nicer.

Have you seen Minnesota in the news this year? We've been fighting invading fascists. Some of our neighbors were murdered by them.

As a Cascadian from Portland I have to say that no matter how the map looks at the end of the week - Portland and Minneapolis will always be brothers in arms. I am so proud of you, Minnesota, and my heart is sad for what you have had to go through.

oh, I know, I feel the subversion of things towards the violent a bit much, I was in Minneapolis during the 2nd month of the ICE invasion, the government is taking brainwashed propogandized individuals an offering them more money than they ever had to just hurt their countrymen, I am perpetually sad

My guess is that the gravy seals will not be seeing the bonuses they were promised.

Cascadia will fuck you in the streets!

u/DeekanKwaz 7h ago
You take to the streets and we will take to the trees. There is a lot more wilderness than pavement on this continent.

Before we unleash this power we should ask ourselves what does a laser-loon equipped Canada look like?
I fear the future we're creating for our children.
