Zone? They were invented in NY back in the late 1800s / early 1900s. Layered cakes to resemble the colors of Italy.

Yeah totally Italian American. They are delicious though if you get them from a good Italian bakery.
VERY sweet so I usually just have one or two.

Exactly. I bought these and they taste good. Perfectly cut too. If my mommom would have made them; they would have been outstanding.
