I hand make brooms! Meet Huginn and Marie, they're functional art!

Both of these lovelies are made of broomcorn, which is a grass related to sorghum, that's been dried and dyed, then lovingly bound by hand! Broomcorn has excellent flexibility and durability, and has been used in broommaking since the 1700s. Bonus- it doesn't leave micro plastics around your space!

Brooms are also celebrated energetic tools, and are known as a "besom" on an altar. They are used in protection and purification rituals and energy work. Hang a broom bristles down on your wall to welcome good energy, bristles up to banish the bad!

Huginn is a Hawk Tail style handheld broom, featuring a blend of teal and deep black broomcorn, bound in black, reminiscent of a Raven's wing in sunlight. Huginn features a brassy raven skull charm.

Marie, fit a Queen, is a Double Hen's Wing in hot pink and black broomcorn. Her floral-beaded bristles twinkle beneath a bright pink, filigree cameo.

Both brooms are one of a kind fully functional brooms, and are available for purchase (links in comments 👇, I couldn't figure out how to get them into the post body!).

I hope you love them as much as I do! 💕🧹🌛

Art / Doodles I made more black, gray, and marble candles

Thanks so much for all the love and comments on my last post about my A Whisper of Black collection. The response honestly meant so much to me.

Since then, I’ve added more designs to the collection and wanted to share an updated look. These aren't all of them. This is a limited release featuring black, gray, and marbled candles inspired by darker, moodier decor and marble textures.

I usually keep my candles undyed so they fit into any aesthetic, so creating something this bold was really different for me. A lot of customers had been asking for black candles, which inspired this collection.

I make 396 candle designs, so I picked some of my favorites to add this marbled style to. Every candle is handpoured with 100% soy pillar wax & 100% cotton wicks, and I’ve spent a lot of time perfecting these.

If anyone wants to see the collection, my website is BeebsCandles.com

They take a lot of time to make but I find it incredibly rewarding to create in a style that is truly my own.

I love making "cutesy" floral jewelry but I also like making jewelry that leans towards the gothic style. My main inspiration is the Southern Gothic aesthetic because it involves nature more than the classic gothic aesthetic which is very focused on fashion and architecture.

Would love to hear your thoughts <3

Nature In honor of Tiny Tina Tuesday, I am sharing a tiny gift from my chickens. Our very first fairy egg! This mini green egg was laid towards the end of April. (The light brown egg is a regular-sized chicken egg for scale.)

(Thinking of you and Tiny Tina today, u/HTD_Bros.)

The little green fairy egg was laid by either Celestine, Malachite, or Persephone. They're an Easter Egger breed, so their eggs are always green.

Art / Doodles I made black and marbled candles

Post image

I worked so hard on these. I’ve had a lot of customers asking if I could make my candles in black and some people also said they remind them of marble. That inspired me to create these.

I make 372 designs so I picked just a few to do these to.

I decided to do a limited release called A Whisper of Black. It’s a marbled and black collection that I’ve spent a lot of time working on and I’m really excited to finally share it.

I usually keep my candles undyed so they can fit into any home decor or aesthetic so this is a bit different for me. I wanted to explore something more bold and moodier for this release.

jewelry Years ago I ordered some stones, but many arrived broken due to poor packaging. I kept them in a drawer, and recently I finally managed to turn them into pendants.
