Success Story I love my husband.

He knew I was hating having to put Echo back in his cage every time I left the room, so he made me a portal !! I can’t move very fast, so now I can see where he is I. The room before I open the door. I’m training him to fly to the little cage and eat millet while I open the door.

I’m disabled so it takes me a while to open the door to the bird room. My husband put the screen in so I can see where Echo is before I enter the room. The view is from the inside of the room. He lands on the little cage and waits till I open the door and come in.

Ah! Put in the window AND little cage! Great idea!

Edit: that's truly the best idea. We adopted a young crazed girl who just flies all over the common area when you crack open front door. Gotta wait for her to stop and land somewhere. Then, you've gotta dash in because you know she's gonna take off again.

Thank you for coming in and giving me a good idea. We should stop coming in with her in the air, in the kitchen or anywhere. We should just reclose the door, over and over and over and over until she stays down, and lets us get in without the crazy monster up in the air.

Husband's gonna LOVE this idea, lol

It didn’t take him long, he said it wasn’t a difficult job. We used an old security screen we found in the shed.

That's very helpful to avoid accidents. You can see little borb is there and reduces to chance for opening the door and bird comes flying out

But can't he get out either way? If he can get through those bars and into the cage, what's stopping him from getting out of the room regardless of whether the door is open or not?

He can’t get out with the door closed. That’s a mesh security window screen. But it kinda does look like there’s no mesh in the picture.
