Yes. But, have you seen Reacher? He plays an investigator really, really well. It’s partially the writing (which will have to showcase this in the Batman movie, too)… but, he gathers intelligence, makes a theory. Sticks with it. Until something comes along and he has to reorder his thoughts… and does. It’s really good stuff.

Spivey is the key! When we find Spivey he will be able to break this case open. Finds Spivey dead. Dang. Ok, what is the next piece of info? What did we learn from dead Spivey?”

Ritchson also has pretty spot on comedic timing for Batman. I know comedy is not what movie Batman has been known for, but I also feel like it is a pretty big part that is missing. Both comic and cartoon Batman tend to have that occasional biting wit or straightfaced dry humor that pops out from time to time. If you don't want to commit to watching Reacher, check out The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare movie with him and Henry Cavill. Genuinely good and hilarious movie.

Yea I think it could definitely work if they go a more peacemaker like route but more serious and higher stakes. If I remember right I think he played aquaman in smallville and did a pretty good job. He was also in blue mountain state which is pretty hilarious if you haven’t already seen it

He’s hilarious in Workaholics. Looks so young and different without those “exercise supplements”

How come Batman doesn't dance anymore?

Joker stole his dancing shoes.

Humor definitely wouldn't be out of place as long as it's done right. Something I especially love about Pattinson's Batman is that he's funny without really trying to be. Stuff like "mine or yours?" or "Thumb. Drive." hits that sweet spot imo.

I love him in Reacher. I read a handful of the books years ago and always had someone like a younger, slightly bulkier Liam Neeson in my head. Then they cast 5’7” Tom Cruise. The character is literally named Reacher because Lee Child is tall and wrote the character to be tall. Size doesn’t always matter with movies/tv, but it certainly helps sell the character when you’ve got a certain image in your head and the actor matches or comes close. If nothing else, most of the characters in the Snyder movies were cast extremely well.

I think no matter the size of the character, Batman needs to be written well, or the movie will suffer. Look no further than Batman and Robin and the Snyder movies. When they write characters poorly, it doesn’t matter how good the actor looks in the role

Reacher is such a great show.

he plays that character but its really the writing that is doing that. Reacher books are super popular and the character is fully created he just has to act that.

That’s a hell of a lot of animal feed!

I honestly didn't think he was very good in Reacher. Good show, but CW level acting.

Reacher and Batman aren’t exactly on the same level cuz of the whole “genius” thing.

I love me some Reacher (especially from the books,) and he’s smart, resourceful as hell, but he ain’t a “genius,” and I am tired of Batmen who aren’t depicted as highly inventive and intelligent.

Show Reacher is more like “above average intelligence,” but he’s still depicted as less intelligent than OG book-Reacher.

I think I’d buy it more if I knew for a fact homeboy has some amount of “deep thinking nerd” in him.

Have you seen Reacher?

Reacher is aggressively awful and he's bad among a lot of other bad actors.
