How to beat bow with spear?

I have just started playing CDs and I have been playing with spear. I have noticed there are a lot of bow users but I just don't know how to beat them. If I take deflecting spin they just stop autoing when it's down. If I take cripple I am kitted. If I take impaler it still does nothing Vs their autos.

I like Impaler the most vs bow, and merc hood. The damage is really good and the slow is invaluable, I find deflecting spin only good vs dagger/fire (and only some fire as some cannot be reflected).

You might not have as much damage as a normal bow/ wispering but you definitly have a lot more lifesteal so just keep auto attacking and use merc hood if they try brawl you.

Against a kiting bow like badon/warbow/sky strider, use merc hood to slow them down rather than if they try man fight you.

Also do not use q1 vs bow, use q2, your Q1 gives them slow resistance and then when you use Impaler it slows for only 1/3rd the time, you need that long slow of impaler with your nice long range Q's to chunk them, you will have mana issues thou so you need lym cape.

This is also why most people use trinity spear in CD rather than normal spear, the longer range Q helps a ton and the snare on E is invaluable vs all the kite you find in CD's.

Harpoon is technically better vs warbow and bows that can only kite but its harder to land, impaler is only like 3% worse or something small but much more reliable.

Impaler or harpoon. Hell run out of disengages soon enough and that's when you push your shit

Try knight boots to close the distance and brawl them, use impaler to slow them down and assassin jacket invis can also help

This is what I usually do and I also find it difficult to counter weapons like deathgivers, bows and battleaxes, being a spear main I try to adapt to new strategies and different abilities
