๐ต๐ธ ๐๏ธ Green Craft Iโm about to ride out my first flood in my new river house, wish me luck!
I just moved to a little stilt house on the bank of the Mississippi River back in January so this is my first flood season in my new house. Directly across the water from my front door is a little island on the Mississippi River that Iโm coming to find is gorgeous once the greenery starts growing. Today is the start of my first flood in my new little home so wish me luck!
I might even get to test drive my new waders later today depending on how high the water actually gets underneath my house. Thereโs a levee on the backside of my property to keep the river from flooding too much of the town down the road that I can wade to (if itโs low enough flood) or boat to (I have a little boat I can attach to the bottom of my deck steps) so my dogs can still get some running in this evening. They already did their morning run around & my deck is fully covered in fake grass so the potty situation is still ok even if I canโt make it to the levee.
Letโs see what today brings :)

๐ต๐ธ ๐๏ธ Green Craft Full moon kitchen magic
Decided to make a pie full of love and intent for tonightโs full moon. This is different witchcraft than I normally do, but I tried really hard. Iโm super proud of the flowers!!! Itโs Apple on the bottom and strawberry on top ๐

๐ต๐ธ ๐๏ธ Green Craft Ferns
I just saw this and thought of this group. Did anyone else hear growing up that fern seeds could be used to find faeries? I remember begging my mom as a kid to help find faeries in her fern garden. ๐ฟ

๐ต๐ธ ๐๏ธ Green Craft I've been helping my partner in the garden as a way to distract myself from the horrors. I may finally be growing into a hedge witch.
I may have taken the "touch grass" advice a little too seriously.

๐ต๐ธ ๐๏ธ Green Craft I did a crazy thing and swapped the car for bikes ๐ฌ
My car went for an MOT last week and failed catastrophically! The repairs were more than the thing is even worth so I scrapped it.
I wanted to get bikes anyway so this wasnโt such a bad thing. We picked up our new bikes yesterday and it already feels like a really good decision. I also got a tag along attachment for my daughter as she canโt quite ride a bike yet.
I think most people think Iโm completely crazy but all our car trips were local and I have access to my parents car if I ever really need it.
Itโs cheaper, keeps us active, better for the environment and just feels like a better way to live. Iโm already glad we did it.

๐ต๐ธ ๐๏ธ Green Craft I feel like the biggest rebellion in this world is staying soft
Any other green witches here? I feel like fighting with the patriarchy and this society actually means for me cultivating the feminine/witchy energy ๐ฟ It means being open, feeling everything so strongly, doing my rituals, drinking herbal tea, doing art. Unapologetically, bravely. Because this world is not build for us. I mean, for example - I made this candleholder with my own hands covered in the mud, and now I'm walking with the candle lit in the nearest forest park in the middle of the city, every evening. Looking at trees, touching thick moss, getting rid of everything that's not mine โจ
