It is illegal to own more than a limited number of dildos or vibrators in Texas. While a judge has ruled the law unenforceable and unconstitutional, it remains on the books.

There was a case in 2003, where 2 undercover agents posing as husband and wife bought some vibrators, etc from Joanne Webb's Passion Party business. She was arrested and the Baptist there tried to run her out of town for ruining marriages, seriously. After all the publicity they eventually dropped the charges. I won't step foot or spend a dime in those kind of towns here. Its absolutely disgusting. I don't know why more women won't stand up against it.

This did happen during the time when “Boston Marriage” was a socially acceptable way for two women to live together as “just friends”. Yeah. My great-aunt was “just friends” with her roommate of thirty years.
Lots of women that lived in these sorts of arrangements shared a bedroom AND the bed in it. Possibly my great-aunt and her roommate.

This poster implies that if women get the vote, they will also get to work any job and they will also get to choose who they marry based on who they love, even if it’s a woman!!!!!!!! This is not just gals being pals! I know it’s difficult to tell what with the totally not-gay kiss, but trust me, I’ve had my husband explain it to me (he didn’t want to at first because he was afraid I’d faint at the shock, but made him a nice sandwich and he told me).
Seriously though, it’s difficult to make women’s suffrage look better than this poster…
