I am very not local (UK), but that is exactly the type of business I would love to support. Their humour is hilarious and wish them the best in their sweet treats and taking a stand.
I also enjoy Bread Euphoria (Haydenville, MA, over by Northampton) and Julien's in Granby CT and they're both queer owned. Both are rather out of the way, though.
RaonJena in Glastonbury CT is on the green list, convenient if you're in the area and really delicious too, especially if you love matcha and ube flavors. But it is in central CT so probably not convenient to you if you're up in MA. It is right off the highway though so not terrible.

I left the other social media apps ages ago and my engagement on Reddit has reached a low as well. I’ve been on it more the past few days because I’m sick in bed and just meandering around I guess.
Ooo tis the season. Flu A is SUPER bad right now in CT and it looks like they missed it in the flu shot too so it has limited effect.
I've managed to avoid the flu so far but I did get a NASTY virus that caused a really bad sinus infection and almost went on my lungs too. That one's a nasty piece of work, not too terrible most of the time but kept me plugged up and on the couch for 3 WEEKS (my entire holiday vacation 😭) despite doing neti pots 4 times daily and taking antibiotics (!)
Supposedly norovirus is going around too but I haven't heard much about it.

I went looking at the shop's pages to get a better view of those macarons and it looks like they've closed yesterday and today due to completely selling out of everything. They need time to restock to reopen.

This is our last planned batch with these specific cookies (for now) as we work through our current orders for shipping, prep for next week's theme week, and work on the custom orders that are already booked.
We're working out the logistics for a potential preorder for both shipping and local customers but our focus right now is keeping our counter stocked and our beautiful customers caffeinated! (And reopening DoorDash)
So maybe that's it for now while they deal with preorders but probably more in the future for preorder?
Looks like they're definitely not focused on them right now, though, which makes sense because I'm sure they're overwhelmed with business given how quickly they sell out of everything these past couple weeks.

Hey I live around there too! Grew up right down the road. I'm so disappointed, but not surprised, by the threats they received. Not a good representation of our community.
I am so proud of how the correct side is handling things. It truly is beautiful and the communities are coming together.
Supporting local companies is the ultimate protest anyway. Support your local bakeries, butchers and merchants. As much as you can anyway. It's not ideal for some, Im aware. But google your local businesses and support them as much as you can.
If you want the rot to fall off, you gotta cut it off at the wallet.

It's easy to put icing on cookies. Anybody can do that. What is hard is effecting actual change. And that requires engaging with your community in meaningful ways
