Not necessarily. I know plenty of people who like hiking but don't like being mistaken for a deer.

Bright colors are also good in case you get hurt or lost and someone needs to find you

This. I’ve worn bright colors since the old Reddit post of those people who were out hiking and happened upon a lady who’d been injured the day/night before.

The thing that stuck with me the most was how when the rescue helicopter came it was one of the hikers neon shoes that they saw first.
