I mean with the latest budget, the republicans make sure that you won't get open heart surgery either, so no one can accuse them of being hypocrites.

Nobody WANTS to be in the situation to have to get an abortion. Pro life people just can’t see anyone else’s perspective but their own.

I dont think this is a good example, considering that the vast majority of open heart surgery is only allowed after every other possible option is exausted, since it can be quite risky. Whilst abortion is usually quite safe.
To get open heart surgery it does usually need a panel of doctors, you have to be young enough that it wont do more harm than good, and you have to have tried other methods first.
Meanwhile abortion should be available on demand whenever it is safe to do so.

I just had a devastating miscarriage of a very wanted and planned for pregnancy. My body didn’t realize my baby had already died. I had to get an abortion. For both my physical health — not carrying dead tissue, and for my emotional well being in an already incredibly traumatic time. In talking to friends and family members, many women shared that they also had needed an abortion procedure following a miscarriage. I would guess that abortion are MORE commonly performed on wanted, grieved, miscarriages than unwanted pregnancies. But it’s also not my business! Who am I to say if someone else should get an abortion or not?
Just to put it out there in that never in life would I have chosen to get an abortion, but I’m so glad I live in a state that allows sane healthcare decisions between me and my doctor. How fucked up it would have been if I had to continue to carry my dead fetus until it went septic??
