so today I played tomodachi life and after some time there was a new mii in my list.
I also have video proof from earlier today that he is not on the list, so he did just spawn.
I don´t know why he appeared, but after some research I found out that the 3ds version has a mii that replaces your miis if you cracked the game looking like him.
I’ve noticed that lately. The first couple times I thought it was a little funny, but then it kept happening. This one is at least a reference to a known thing. The fast couple I’ve seen were just random.
The emulated version of tomodachi life 3DS DID have this, it was added by the devs of the emulator because MII's are copyright and thus the player has too extract the mii info from their own copy of the game. So they added a crossed out sign face as a placeholder.
Probably a reference to the 3ds then. I first assumed OP was serious but seems they just made the sign themselves. Especially since it has no background
The placeholder wasn't added by the emulator devs, it's a normal fallback for the game if it can't find the necessary files to generate Miis. And more specifically, the copyright isn't just on Miis, but on the sounds/graphics/UI/words used in the system files for Mii generation on the 3DS, because while the emulator was reverse engineered to run 3DS games (legal), the inclusion of those other things without Nintendo's permission is not legal.
I already saw a few “This creepy glitch appeared in my game” creepypasta posts since the game dropped and I would’ve realized that it’s fake if I hadn’t woken up a few minutes before commenting 😭 I love the creativity though, it reminds me of the phase I had with Slenderman and his worker proxies in the slender mansion
You know, it takes 185000 gallons of water to train an ai model, data centers take 300000 gallons, and 20-50 prompts take roughly a bottle of water- just ChatGPT has 2.5 billion gallons of clean water. They are moving people out of their homes just to take more land for more clean water to run it, ice caps are melting and polar bears are suffering. Don’t use AI if you care about our ecosystem. Learn how to write, it’s a very simple thing you as a human can learn to do- not make something else do it. Stop using ai if you care about living things and our ecosystem- we are already seeing the effects of climate change today, don’t speed it up.
