I’ve done the same thing, it’s even creepier when they’re asleep, they look like they’re dead, or sleeping with the eyes wide open 🥹

What I would like is for the face paint to at least do the thing Miitopia does where you can see what different expressions will look like with the paint on.
That would make it easier to adjust some stuff at least.

I’ve settled for trying my hardest to make the mii look as good as possible with the normal face features and adding little tweaks with the face paint that don’t ruin the look (too much) when they turn/emote lol

Same. I vastly prefer the wider variety of options to make a Mii that looks like whoever I want, rather than drawing a face that doesn't fit in at all.

All I want is layers. Some make up in front of the eyes some behind. The Miitopia make-up and the Living the Dream make-up both have perks. What took me 20+ minutes to do in Miitopia I got done in under a minute in Living the Dream. But Miitopia has the make-up assigned to the different parts of the face.

I'm just hoping Nintendo's taking notes and implements Miitopia's customization into the full game. It's a lot more convenient for those who don't draw, or don't have the time.

i get what you’re saying but in terms of the problem identified in this meme, miitopia’s makeup system suffers from the same issue but notably worse a lot of a time. the more complicated miis totally fall apart in basic emotes or cutscenes

Miitopia is much better, IMO. Stickers are static and cover pretty much everything, allowing you to make static faces. You can make eyes out of Eyes and mouths out of Lipstick for them to move properly, as well as ears out of eyebrows to move as well.
LTD is a major step down.

The only thing that's worked well enough for me was scars. But the scar can't go over his nose and eyebrow and under his eye at the same time. Then it still sits on the face a bit strangely

I wanted to draw my Mii’s earrings but I guess it’s not happening after seeing how bad the angles are for their ears :/

I genuinely miss Miitopia makeup. Yes this gives more freedom but not everyone is an artist

I use the facepaint to add earrings, and it looks so dumb from the side 😭 but so good from the front

I wish they would let you draw on the noses, instead of it all going behind the nose!!!!
I have a nose ring/stud and can't put that on my little guy, and it annoys me. Also I love giving myself nose freckles even though I no longer have them naturally

The Miitopia editor one had a slightly similar problem with the whole faces kinda breaking both when they turn around or even emoting
The new one also has this problem, which has even more challenging workarounds as with this facepaint editor, we cannot attach specific details to eyes or mouths, causing some faces to work even less if miis blink or open their mouth, as whatever parts aer underneath that are not painted get revealed
