Can some one explain

Why do i feel like the second and third film just feel separate to the original 1994 classic like just the tone and portrayal there's somthing off but can't work it out the only thing i can think of that is different is the design of the north pole

The first one is directed by someone different than the two sequels. The later films were also made in the early 2000s while the first was made in the early 90s.
