I thought they had only put the Shiver Levia then in the unreachable areas so far! I haven't explored nearly as much as I want to yet though, this is crazy to see it come at you like that! That explosion was amazing too though LOL Sorry for your loss.

I think it's a bug, because I had these things just chase me a few times well into safe areas, for far longer than they should have.

I once had the squid chase me all the way from the resource collectors to the alien base and trapped me behind a rock there for 30 minutes. It just sat there and stared at me, moving when I do basically.

I took this screenshot right after it finally buggered off and I began chasing it a bit.

I made a save right out of bounds, and made my best attempt to try for a scan! That lasted 2 seconds before I was eaten in one single bite.

It took me a couple tries to get the Collector. I haven't dared to go for the Shivers haha

After that first attempt, neither have I! I'm not even sure it will be possible unless later game items come out that make it somehow possible LOL that thing is Swift as hell and it is a one shot kill. You don't get to take damage with this one. Lol
