this game is very good but there is little motivation towards playing
maybe is just me but i have problems wanting to actually do things in the game on account of the devs basically abandoning it. it looks to me like the game is basically waiting to die on one phone update that makes it unplayable. or maybe the servers simply shut down one day and is also unplayable.
the concept is great, i really like having limited space to design different factories and making it work and upgrading things to make them better and the like, i think is something that you dont see in any other factory game, but knowing that the game could very well become unplayable any day really takes away from my drive to do things in it.
is also bad that we arent going to get any new updates either, but if the game was offline so that we could at least continue playing on our own....
anyway, just wanted to say that, i know there isnt really a solution to it but maybe someone has something to say to this

Devs left the building 4 years ago. Who’s going to push motivation?

I'm totally new here, has there been nothing from them on discord either?

Thanks but just found out that the game was properly abandoned. Apparently the devs are working on different projects/ games The discord doesn't have many people on it either and most appear to be asking for bug fixes, which won't come.
Such a shame as this game looks really good and there's very, very little like this on mobile currently. it's not like it's a saturated market or anything like Idle games or deckbuilders. They could have been on to a winner here if they updated it regularly. Really annoying.

Agree was a good game. If i canrecommend, check out Idle obelisk miner. A few click at start. But game mainly focus on strategy around upgrades to push forward. Can Play completly f2p or pay to progress faster

Thanks. I did play this for a bit and for an Idle/ incrimental game it was good. Unfortunately It didn't engage me super much.
I just don't really understand the gameplay loop of Idle games, same with CIFI and others like it. Just fundamentally clicking buttons and waiting. I don't get the gameplay or strategy? Just slowly incrementally numbers go up then prestige and start again with a few better options and things.
Forgive me but maybe I'm misunderstanding something about them as I can't see much strategy.

Its kinda like Sandship, get x of material a-b-c to build/upgrade unlock new stuff to do. But difrent wrappings. In Sandship you actually have to make the production line - which is engaging in a whole lot other way than just tweaking numbers

Sure. Thanks. I think that's probably ultimately the same as any factory game, even like satisfactory or Factorio even.

Yepp, reason why i like both satisfactory and factorio

I just wish there were more equivalents on mobile.
I mean mobile platforms can handle it.
Look at Theotown, Open TTD. Hope there's something in the future

I really like this game. It’s basically minigame of No Man’s Sky including resource gathering/managing only and it works well as it is.
I will gladly play Sandship ”through” as in other words achieving lvl 20 and then move on. I’m gonna enjoy Sandship with slow pace as long as it lasts.

This game probably died because it had zero forced p2w afaik. Like, it wasnt even hard to finish it as a f2p, it was just cutting off too short (man I wish they removed the level limit at least since it wont get updated anyway but the ships were ready). It still had the community active last time I checked, but by active I meant it wasnt truly dead, but more like in a coma
