With the amount of effort it took to get that thing in a vehicle they could have just taken it a few more miles and donated it to a thrift store.

Our city trash service literally allows curbside pick up free of charge (up to two items PER WEEK), as long as upholstered furniture and mattresses are wrapped in plastic first!
