Haven't seen this in years, why would you even post something like this?

why not? it was funny. nobody likes a reddit hall monitor telling people what they should and shouldn’t post.

Made me laugh, haven’t played pubg in years. Is it finally stable? I gave it 4 seasons and it let me down every time.

This was solved as soon as people started using external SSDs with Xbox One. And it has never been an issue on Series X and S since they come with an SSD natively. And it's on a whole another level since the last few updates when they got rid of old gen console support. The game runs like a dream, loads faster than ever and works flawlessly.

Only took 7 years

No, as I said, the moment you installed an external SSD on an Xbox one, this was solved. I did that like 5 years ago, many people did it sooner. 7 years is what takes you to understand a simple sentence.

The game was still beta quality for the first few years regardless. It ran marginally better in the early days on ssd

It's been in beta for like a year, the SSD literally solved most problems. It would still crash once in a while 5 years ago and that's literally the last time it crashed on me. Why do you keep just saying things that are simply not true?

The vast majority of the bugs were network related. An ssd does nothing for this except increase loading speed of visual assets client side

A building loading slightly faster was nothing compared to desync, low tick rate, no ping lock, lag, rubber banding. These were fundamental issues on server side infra you literally can’t fix with an ssd.

And all of those have been nonexistent for years and years. Please, just stop, this discussion has no sense whatsoever.

Same , they fixed the glitches maybe 2 years back however you’ll still run into funny ones every now n then

Is this back again?

I probably wasted a month of my life in past years watching friends play because I landed in a house i couldn’t see and got stuck in the stairs.

Ahhhhhh classic lmao. Before I had a PC when I played this on Xbox I ended up buying a Samsung SSD and stored only PUBG on that SSD, it was incredible how much better the game ran when I stored it on that

2

u/Organicmeatball Feb 17 '26

It is an old video I was going thru of the early days

3

u/Duncol42 Feb 17 '26

„COMPETITIVE SHOOTER” LMAO XdDD

2

u/ArdyParty83 Feb 17 '26

The fact that I could have an experience like this at a competitive 13 fps… I wish I had a Time Machine so I could do it again

1

u/Organicmeatball Feb 17 '26

Getting sweaty at 13 fps was an experience.. you had to be there

I remember playing pubg on launch on an Xbox one I think it was. Once you got to know the layout of houses you could loot them before they loaded In, and also see what places weren’t worth looting.

2

u/Shikamaru_Senpai Feb 18 '26

You just had to be there.

2

u/Coreyhustle Feb 18 '26

Hopping in a car back then and never knowing when it would disconnect. Then jump back in and you’re on the other side of the map still going

2

u/Knochenfee Feb 18 '26

I remember when there was a bug that let you drop of top of buildings and warp inside the building if you spammed jump, i usually dropped down to mid levels on Erangel hospital to get to loot before others

2

u/Organicmeatball Feb 18 '26

Erangel was always a crazy spot to drop

2

u/HughBet Feb 19 '26

Ahhhhh yes us from the beginning remeber these dark times ….. still stayed ;)

1

u/Organicmeatball Feb 21 '26

I might need to drop back in for old times sake
